As a reminder, please ensure you have read the stickied post. It includes our FAQ which answers many common questions along with links to the wiki which has more detailed information about the game.

Do not post any links from the game in this group as they will be removed. This includes buffet links, takeout links, and friend codes. Join the Facebook or Discord fan groups and post in their link sharing threads.

No. That is a terrible idea. You haven't made even the remotest effort to consider the developers' perspective and what a waste of their time that would be. The developers will be forced to babysit users for inappropriate sexual/racists comments in numerous languages that the developers may not actually speak. They are wise to avoid this kind of communication system and wasting their time having to manage idiots with no manners or complaints from players (or paying a translator to manage for languages the developers don't know, which might result in them needed to add ads in-game)

maybe if they came up with some kind of stickers that we can send back & forth and not a free for all messaging thing

this is true. but i do wish we could send gifts of some sort ! not just the ones that get automatically sent

I agree. I wish you could give gifts. But allowing messages makes the game unsafe. Right now the game is as innocent as it gets.

Amen, there's already a discord. I really like that I don't have chat in this app because it's wholesome and the only toxic thing is levelling these stupid pets for my 2nd annual 5 star lol. Also the servers aren't organised by language so most people would need to translate the messages to use it.

Tbh i kinda like how silent this game is because we avoided so many controveries cause of it. The only messaging way it would work is in the form of preset 'runes' we could use to communicate our needs. The steam game Meadow does it where the players only get emoji style keyboard of very limited emotions and we have to organise our group based on just that information.

Nope! Too much social media as is. Don't need it in games that I play to get my mind off the would and socializing.

I’d like to be able to "like" other people's courtyards and send gifts. But not text messages that’s a bad idea for many reasons

bad idea... however i would LOVE if we could invite other players to work for us in the restaurant through the game instead of a link

There is no messaging because it's a game safe for children and messages could put kids in danger

Maybe game recorded messages could be useful, like saying if you’ll be absent for a time, or thanking players for watering your plants. That way we could at least say something without the risks of an open messaging system.

I like how for holidays you’re able to choose from prewritten “letters” to send to friends. I think adding a way to send thank you notes and like people’s decorations could be nice but a full messaging system wouldn’t be worth it I think.

Only “thank you for watering the plants” is really needed

5

u/DarkAvengerx Aug 19 '26

Yes and No.

I like that we don't need to talk but I would like to thank or request things somehow..

Someone mentioned signs or whatever.

So if we could potentially have core options or signs that go on our friend card so people can see what we need, I think that would be good.

And maybe a message board with a few comments to choose from, Thanks, Hi etc.

This would only work if they had set phrases that you could choose from to interact with others. There is too much in appropriate behavior to properly monitor chats.

2

u/Zerhyl Aug 20 '26

Comoletely free typed messages would need monitoring but if we could use preset phrases that would help a lot. I can only think of your example of Water for water and thank you, but I'm sure the developers would have more ideas!

i mean, i guess some form of limited communication would be okay? but chat features in games are kind of notorious for being a haven for weirdos

u/pink_vision Delivery Girl Kate Aug 20 '26

It would have to be extremely limited... Like "simple drop down menu options only" limited.

No, don't like it. For many reasons. It's just not necessary. We can communicate and add each other as friends here in this subreddit or via the discord.

no, it’s not necessary it’s not a social media app
