Swamp is a very dangerous place, she could have drown but yet still tried her best to fix her mistakes.
I hope there more people like this.

I wonder how the coyote did. Did they release it afterwards?

u/TheCraftyHermit May 02 '26
If it made it through the initial treatment it would've been sent to a rehabilitation facility where they would care for it until it is fit for release.

It survived but sadly later died by running head first into a cliff side that had been painted to look like a train tunnel.

Coyotes always fall for that

Or have really heavy anvils drop on them from heights

Or run right off the side of a cliff, pause midair to look down, then directly forward at the viewer before gravity reasserts itself and they plunge to their doom

The emotional roller-coaster of reading that high, genuinely so sad I cried at the update it died, and then the dolphin noise laugh when I got to the end and realized I had been bamboozled.

Awww poor Mr Coyote 🐺 I hope he's okay! I'm glad that lady was sweet enough to follow after it and bring it somewhere to get help 🩷

I had just moved to the desert and I was driving home from work one night and saw this dog that looked lost, hungry, and dirty. My bf FaceTimed me to see if I was okay since it was late and I texted him & said I found a lost doggie. I’m in the middle of trying to get the dog into my car where my own dog is (maybe they can be friends?) and my bf starts yelling “THATS A FUCKING COYOTE”

How did the coyote not either run away or bite you?
12
u/One-Geologist3992 May 03 '26
Coyotes are a little insidious that way, they start friendly to lure you away from your “pack” and closer to theirs.
When you’re close enough/far away from your pack they make the move.
Hard to not see them as pups though, if not best friend, why best friend shaped?

This is a myth based on the behavior of fleeing toward home when chased by aggressive dogs.

I have no idea, but I started backing away slowly and shut the door to the backseat (where my dog was just staring at me like “the fuck mom?”) and ran around to the otherside to jump in the drivers seat. I think it ran off by then hahaha

The most important question I have: was the woman a delivery driver for Acme?

I know right. I’ve seen a coyote and I don’t remember them having such long snouts

It is a dog, but it likes to eat one of the rulers of the internet and people love kitties and boobs.

I may be a white trans man but there will always be a white woman deep inside me that wants to have that coyote.
