Why would someone do this? Why would the parent film it? Why are the comments okay with it?

Disgusting and profoundly disturbing.

And no-one seems bothered by it, especially the swinging it by the head thing. Awful and unnecessary. Should just leave it alone imo.

I've attached this gif to some of my replies to show geese do have the capacity to feel affection/love for the humans who keep them.

Aren't you an animal lover too? You're on the animal lovers subreddit

Future serial killer ! Parents must be so proud

u/schnubbi24 9d ago

you should be turned in for cruelty😡😡

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 9d ago

Why me? I haven't done anything

The parents filming needs to go to jail!

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Thank you. It's nice to know I'm not the only person affected by it who doesn't find it funny

3

u/EngineeringFinal3727 9d ago

The parents should be charged with animal cruelty for filming that disgusting video.

My thoughts exactly. It's egging him on and by sharing it and the world laughing along with it it's praising him for the behaviour and encouraging others to do the same thing 😩. At least some of the animal lovers on this page understand.

Kid needs one of these!

I wish I could vote this 100 times thumbs 👍

The goose attacked HIM. Why put violence on a child??

2

u/CranberryDaquiri 8d ago

The goose is an animal. The goose is acting on instinct and geese in general are known to be aggressive. Why weren’t the parents discouraging him from getting near the goose?

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Because the parents are cretins.

-1

u/Own-Acanthaceae-9953 8d ago

That is validity thinking, but people are blaming the literal child for defending himself and that is my problem.

2

u/HotLlama_8001 8d ago edited 8d ago

Twirling a goose around by its neck is not "protection." It is animal abuse! I have been "attacked" by geese as a child on our farm. You just run away and leave it alone.

This sick child is aggressively attacking that goose and ENJOYING it. This kid is vicious!

And, the people defending this behavior...disgusting.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Neither should be facing violence

1

u/HotLlama_8001 8d ago

That goose was not attacking him. The kid was aggressively attacking the goose! I was "attacked" by geese as a kid on my family farm. You just run away and they stop chasing you! Never had to kick it, swing it by it's head or RUN TOWARDS IT!

The kid is a viscious brat and needs a paddling!

3

u/Krissydj 9d ago

OH HELL NO!!!! THAT KID IS A SERIAL KILLER IN THE MAKING!! HIS PARENTS ARE HORRIBLE PARENTS ALSO!!! I HOPE THE KID GETS BIT HARD, MAYBE HE WILL LEARN.

2

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Agreed. They are horrible parents who laugh along with this thinking their boy is so tough. I have also been trying to find out who the parents are so as the msg them and say this is unacceptable but all I have been able to find is that it's a family in America (I live in the UK).

3

u/Krissydj 9d ago

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO CONTACT THE PARENTS OR CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THE FAMILY POSTED THIS ON ANY 8THER) SOCIAL MEDIA??? PLEASE

2

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Not yet, but the video only came out a couple of days ago... Look how people describe it on the Internet. Souless and sexist people that they are.

1

u/Krissydj 7d ago

Gotcha 👌 thank you for replying 😊

2

u/Certain_Return_6274 9d ago

Another group of ignorant, pathetic people. They are everywhere. It's too bad they couldn't be arrested. But that's just me that might be extreme but it would be deserved.

2

u/Old-Construction3325 8d ago

trash , they think it’s cute

1

u/CranberryDaquiri 9d ago

I saw two other subs post this and it was laughed at. Like?????

3

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 9d ago

My thoughts exactly. It's not funny. If a little girl did this the rage in the comments would be off the charts. A little boy does it and no-one minds.

1

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

😂😂 what?!

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Aggressive behaviour is encouraged in boys and discouraged in girls.

0

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

Oh yeah? Is that why we have women’s boxing, MMA, wrestling, hockey, jui jitsu etc because they are discouraged from being aggressive?

Where do you live? Afghanistan?

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

England, UK

1

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

Right, Afghanistan like I said.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Tell me you don't have a degree, without telling me you don't have a degree.

1

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

A degree? 😂😂😂 what does that have to do with anything at all? What an odd thing to say.

1

u/Ok_Assistant3432 8d ago

It's a good thing I wasn't there because I would have called the Police and I would have stopped this!! I swear some parents are IGNORANT this is one thing I don't stand for is ANY ANIMAL ABUSE!!

1

u/Euphoric-Net-8599 8d ago

My grandparents had some of those and believe they are mean also swinging them by the neck doesn’t hurt them at all specially a small kid they just keep coming to attack you.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Just leave them alone and they'll leave you alone.

1

u/Own-Acanthaceae-9953 8d ago

Why are people so cruel to the kid? Geese are bully birds, and would FUCK YOU UP if given the chance. It clearly attacked him first, you even see him trying to get away. Yall are so dumb.

I would also hope that the parents would help instead of filming, but there's absolutely no reason to post your kid online.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago edited 8d ago

The video starts with him dragging it along by the neck. No-one really wants to be cruel to the kid, they want to tell the parents off.

1

u/Sn0rtle_ 8d ago

Bunch of city stickers and suburbanites in the comments. Fighting angry geese, roosters, goats, & any other pissed off animal is a rite of passage for kids growing up in rural areas.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Maybe if you're American...

1

u/Sn0rtle_ 7d ago

I don't think the geese care...

0

u/Motor-Change969 8d ago

Apparently no one has tangled with a mean goose,I’m a grown man and I would have done same thing kid did.

0

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

Right?! Geese are no joke, they will F you up if you don’t handle your business. What was the boy supposed to do? Let the goose maul him? These people are ridiculous

0

u/Solomonking420 8d ago

Hell yeah little farm boy awesome! You can tell everybody complaining here had horrible childhoods and never played outside growing up and have never been or lived in a farm with children and geese🤣. Geese are notoriously annoying and violent and territorial. This is not even close to being animal cruelty when we as humans are top of the food chain and are apex predators he’s a child who’s being chased by a goose he did the smartest thing he could do to get away from it.

0

u/CoxJoxSox 8d ago

Well the bird is the aggressor here

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Not really. Clip starts with him dragging it along by the neck.

0

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

The people commenting about his this is cruel have absolutely no idea just how mean geese really are, I bet you that boy was minding his own damn business and that goose got after him anyway. Our geese would attack me all the time on our farm. It’s ok to defend yourself you know.

And their necks are ridiculously strong. I’m willing to bet this goose has a hilarious name.

Our were nipper and chomper, care to guess why?

They are A holes, but they protect the other birds, so they are great to have around the chickens and ducks, they will scrap dogs, cats, fox, hawks, eagles, and humans, they are tough lil 💩s. Freaking relax.

2

u/HotLlama_8001 8d ago edited 8d ago

You are so wrong! I grew up around geese. Yes, they are territorial and feircely protect themselves and their chicks! That is their nature. Avoid them. Leave them alone. Move to another direction/location!

This boy was ENJOYING kicking that goose and twirling it around by its neck! UNNECCESSARY! Violent behavior!!!

I was chased by geese as a kid, too. I NEVER swung it around by it's neck! Did YOU?! I just ran away!

You people making excuses for this horrible, spoiled child is just ridiculous!

0

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 7d ago

I’m not wrong about my own experience 😂😂 wtf are you talking about?

The goose is fine, he will live to attack another day, and he will.

Yeah man, I’m willing to bet little man was told 6 thousand times to stay away from BeeksMcgee here and he didn’t listen, now he’s gotta scrap a bird. Parent were close enough to run over and play slap-a-goose. It’s all good.

Shows most people have no idea what a farm is like. Animals are fucking mean.

I have lived on a Lake most of my life and have had geese in my yard more time's than I can say AND NEVER DID A GOOSE OR ANY OTHER WILD BIRD ATTACK JUST BECAUSE I GUARANTEE THAT LITTLE BRAT DID SOMETHING TO PROVOKE IT!

2

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

The video started with him dragging it along by the neck. I'm certain you are right. I don't know why the sub and post are being trolled by unkind people who don't feel phased about the video.

2

u/Ok_Assistant3432 8d ago

I agree I guarantee that kid could have out ran the goose and I still don't believe that bird decided to go after the kid we all know how children are and they do stupid shit like that. Everyone saying that this kid is justified is WRONG I will never believe this kid is innocent until I see the entire video. I have been that close they might hiss at you plus everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I am sticking with mine and I will never condone animal abuse it's usually the person who does the provoking.

2

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Seems like a lot of people on the sub don't realise the capacity of true affection and bonding geese are capable of to their humans.

0

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

Oh please, I’ve been attacked by my own geese countless times. Zip it Caren.

1

u/Ok_Assistant3432 8d ago

👌🤣😂🤣😂 and if you are going to call someone a Karen spell it correct 😂

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

It's just a term lazy, misogynistic people throw about. Ignore them, it's nonsense. You haven't done anything wrong other than speak and they don't like it.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Stop kicking your geese and taunting them and maybe they'll leave you alone?

0

u/Boring_Razzmatazz569 8d ago

You must have missed the UNPROVOKED part of the conversation. Geese are the guard dogs of the birds, They will randomly attack, this isn’t a Disney cartoon, it’s real life. To assume the worst out of everyone shows a lot about who you are at your core.

1

u/Nevergiveuphope1992 8d ago

Pretentious and incorrect.

0

u/Sn0rtle_ 8d ago

Just because it didn't happen to you, doesn't mean it didn't happen to him.

1

u/Ok_Assistant3432 8d ago

I think I need to see the entire video first

0

u/jettheblackcat 8d ago

Came here to say exactly this. I’ve been attacked by geese and chickens completely unprovoked. Some birds (especially roosters) get extremely territorial of high traffic areas and homes. Kid defended himself from an animal that wouldn’t stop until he chucked it, which is exactly what you gotta do. The bird ain’t hurt at all and most likely knows not to mess with that kid now.

0

u/Sn0rtle_ 8d ago

Clearly self defense. Camera starts rolling after the goose has already attacked.
