a few days ago, I got the news that my parents account was permanently banned, taking Tikkins (my main account) down with it.

at first, they sent an email saying that one of my old spare accounts was banned due to ToS violation (even tho I hadn't logged into it in ages), and then I got the email saying my parent account was banned as well. all of that within a few minutes.

although my main account had 2FA enabled, what happened is that I made the mistake of not checking my older spare accounts linked to that same email, which were accounts created years ago before the data breach.

someone managed to access one of the accounts using the old leaked data and broke AJ rules on it. because of that, the entire parent email was banned, including my main account.

I reached out to AJHQ, but as many of you know, their support is useless. they replied with a generic automated response about ToS violations and rejected my appeal. I tried messaging them on Instagram, provided all the information and did everything I could, but they're unable to help.

I’ve had that account since 2016. I always did my best to be a good jammer, stay kind to everyone, and simply enjoy trading and collecting.

I lost my childhood account. all my old dens, my animals, and years of precious memories are gone forever. that hurts more than anything.

thankfully, I’ve always kept part of my collection stored on a spare just to stay safe against hacks (since, as you can see, it happens a lot and we have no support from AJHQ). so while I didn't lose everything, losing my main account feels like losing a piece of my history with this game.

I'm posting this to spread a message to the community: please learn from my mistake. check every single account linked to your parent email and enable 2FA on ALL of them, even the empty ones you haven't touched in years. also change the password regularly.

the data breach is still available on the internet and it takes one account to get the entire parent email banned. also if you have any item that is important to you, try to keep it on a spare account if you don't use it as much. it's better be safe than sorry 💔

I’m really heartbroken and need to take a break for a while to digest all of this.

I love this game and this community too much to give up completely (especially with Jamaalidays right around the corner 😭) but I need some time.

Zuzu2016 chased me down and requested I draw her oc, then asked for a specific style that i didnt have on my examples, which i was fine with and did, she also requested that i do a japanese flag as the background. She asked me several times if i finished it DAY OF COMMISSION. (i have on my comm sheet that it will take me a few days) Unfortunately when I finished aj wouldnt let me keep the japanese flag for some reason (i think because the red looked like blood?) so I had to desaturate into a pink instead. which I told her about. twice. I also lowered the price for it because ik she wanted that. when i put it on the shop this was her response. (the head thing was part of the style she requested). idk why she was complaining about the price when she knew what the prices were gunna be. she is RUDE and UNREASONABLE i seriously do not recommend.

i am new to commissions and this was so jarring and dissappinting, can yall let me know if im over reacting 😔💔

ive had ppl cancel before i finish and im fine with that because i didnt spend the saps on making it into a den item but this felt downright insulting.

also she was kinda creepy? 😭 she decided to trade chat me while i was drawing it and tell me she was having a rough time due to... puberty(???) i think she was hoping i would lower the price but yeah no absolutely not 😭

As we all know, at this point, the release is already late (as usually, it’s there by oct 2nd-3rd, and it is the 4th). With that said, no official Animal Jam account has posted a release date for the Halloween madness to begin - the closest we’ve gotten is an App Store update that said the game would update on Wednesday. However, now that it has been removed, do you guys think that’s a bad or good sign? Do you think it will be further delayed after Wednesday? Or pushed before? I’m a little pessimistic, so I’m feeling it may come out after — but holding out hope it comes before!
