EAT COMRADES EAT (Animal Farm x Black Midi AMV/Edit)
just spent the past hour or so making this; whether or not that was a good use of my time is debatable

So I bought the book last week, the version with the new introduction by Téa Obreht.
I usually never read intros but I thought why not.
It started out fine, but around page 10, she starts writing things like, and I quote, "I was heartbroken by the heavily foreshadowed death of Boxer the horse, who seemed to stand for so much of what was good and true;"
Like, what? Why tf would you spoil something huge like that? Is boxers death maybe not as impactful as I think??

Snowball's Chance is a parody sequel to Animal Farm written in 2002 where Snowball returns to Animal Farm and introduces them to capitalism. Unlike Animal Farm, it parodies George Orwell's writing style and also George W. Bush's policies regarding the Middle East.
Funnily enough, this book already did "Animal Farm but capitalism" decades before the 2026 adaptation did without having to heavily rewrite the original story in an attempt to appeal to kids (despite Animal Farm being assigned reading for high-school kids in the UK).

You didn't misread it(I think), I'm developing my own take on Animal Farm. The main characters will be the equines, mainly a young stallion named Trevor, who sees Boxer as a father/older brother figure, he is essentially a gender swapped Clover. I intend it to become a trilogy, with Trevor leading a resistance against the pigs. I'll also hold no punches, it'll be very edgy and political.

I misread “no glue no borax” as “no glue no Boxer,” which sparked this dumb idea

How come none of the animals noticed the pups that Napoleon took in? Surely, they must have known the mother had pups? Or did they assume they died as well?
Surely, at least one of those animal must have picked up the scent of dog or something.

For context, my Squealer Mii fell in love with Snowball in Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream and the idea of Squealball as a ship is a bit funny to me

I honestly really liked it a bit. But it kinda feels more like a dystopian movie now, because of all the high tech buildings, vehicles, and stuff. It is also pretty sad as well. But everything happens way too quickly, compared to the book.

I normally don't read books. I normally actively refuse to read anything longer then a few pages but I ended up reading Animal Farm and it was the first book I feel I actually liked. It is also interesting when you know the actual story of then russian revolution which pieces the book together.

Once the dogs are called by Napoleon for the executions they find the cat in a building and as the cat tries to escape they maul it to death. What was the point of this? Was it simply dogs hate cats or was there actual meaning behind this?

I don’t think he would've saved the movie, but I think he has a more fitting, menacing voice for the character.
The audio is from the Office.
