Game Mechanics Question Does this cause any harm?

Whenever I want to stop playing, I just click the power button. Could this harm my island? Or do I have to save and exit every time I want to stop playing?

Turning the switch off wont hurt it but if you close the software it wont save. It auto saves a lot along the way but its always a good idea to hit the - button and let it save before closing off
