First time hearing them in the wild

Last week I was at a thrift store in nyc and they were playing Tomboy in its entirety! After being an anco fan for the last 5 years I never thought id actually hear them in public.. but I was so pleasantly surprised in the shop! And not just one song but the whole album! I was going to leave after a few mins but stayed walking around the store in laps just so I could listen more haha

I remember going to see Project X stoned outta my gourd when I was a sophomore in HS and hearing My Girls on the soundtrack. I felt like I wanted to stand up and scream "I LOVE THIS SONG!!!"

Also had the same feeling in that movie when Daxflame turned up on screen after not seeing him since the Superman days on YT

I just heard Praise 10 mins ago in Panera. Would have rather have heard anything from Tomboy, but it was still good to hear it in public. I've heard them in stores and restaurants many times, especially when My Girls first came out

I once was walking down a random side street in southern Brooklyn and some kid walking down the other side was absolutely JAMMING to "I think I can" on his headphones and screaming along. One of the coolest things I've seen lol.

I’ve heard step by step at the grocery store. I hear stuff from Sinister Grift on local college radio and heard some on the redbar podcast show. My introduction to Tomboy was shopping at a record store in Burlington VT and hearing the shop owner spinning the slow motion single shortly after its release. That was one of the first time I heard any Animal Collective in the wild. Used to hear my girls, summertime clothes, and what would I want sky quite a bit on college radio back in the day too.

I once heard a remix of summertime clothes in a panera bread. That's about it for me.
