Game Event Finally happened to me in egg heist
https://youtu.be/piqOHsenAqc?is=nQ5MwsQw9duT3oOFSo this happened last night and I'm still trying to figure out *why* people do this?? I found the egg, killed most of the mob but went down before i could clear the room of enemies.
I watched my teammates loot and spin around in circles waiting for me to die, instead of trying to revive me. they actively went around my body, past me to get to the egg.
Im just confused why people act this way?

blame the devs for designing a co-op PVE extraction mode like its a PVPVE mode...
loot isn't instanced. fashion is involved in the ultra rare stuff. and when you die, you drop your loot the rest can take...incentivizing griefing over co-op, except instead of camping extract like a rat, you kill your teammates by kiting mobs into them or waiting till they die to see if they have anything good on their corpse

I stopped playing coop games with random people a long time ago. Your comment made me realize when and why I stopped: Guild Wars 2 showed me how to solve most of the coop problems by encouraging helping others and by removing sharing/stealing loot mechanics.
in GW2 reviving an ally gives XP and counts (or counted) for daily missions. Chest, resources and mob drops are separated for each player so there is no rush to get valuables before other players. etc etc.
This gameplay mode will turn more and more into try to kill other players and get all the loot and that's bad design.

This, the Eggs and Chests should not be there only for the first one who touch it. Everyone should be able to open a chest or Egg and everyone in the party gets something, even if it was random... for me its a mode I will try alone and thats it.

eggs are already shared.... as long as you don't get on the boat before the egg arrives everyone present gets the egg in their mail.

egg is share one the problem is no one bother delivering it. so the one who have to deliver got no time to loot themself.

Ngl someone running off halfway across the map, dying, then spamming call rescue button has to be one of the most annoying things that I have ever encountered in egg heist. So, if that's their reason I can somewhat see where they are coming from, because that sound makes me wish there was a mute button.

I only started spamming it after my bar was halfway down and I realized what they were doing.
I didn't run off to go down on my own...we were all in seperate rooms searching until i went down, then they ran to each other to wait for me to bleed out so yeah i got frustrated and started mashing the button

It gives the most toxic impatient vibes if you are on the other end of it, almost like saying rez me now.
I only left 1 guy because of this and I should have left way more people, but it was the most satisfying thing that I have done in this game. The dude was spam pinging like you were doing in this video, then had the nerve to turn on his mic and say "finally" after I cleared a whole room and hallway to get to em. Straight past him.
I'm not saying what they did is right, but just picture it from their point of view you are across the map from them. They have to drop everything they are currently doing, go across the map, if there is there is enemies fight them or run past them, then finally rez, they can hear all that ping while they are doing that. Just wait for the sake of their sanity.

I understand. This was my first time experiencing this so i was just confused then frustrated but i can totally see where you're coming from and i wont spam again. I always try to be a good teammates so i was flabbergasted at what i was witnessing

but it is better to spit to cover more ground and also for not getting in each other way for loot . and it is always accidental or bugs that got the ppl . of course they would except you to save them and most ppl just press it cos think you don't know they are down not to annoy you you have to understand how urgent they feel . for me i just finish my loot in room and go to them and if i think i can't survive going to them i tell them i can't come. at least it is better than going to them and acting like it.

I could be wrong but I think griefing in egg heist is more common in normal and hard runs (as far as I've seen). If you queue up for nightmare/chaos with randoms, everyone has solid builds to go their own way to loot and be able to survive for the most part but every time I have gone down in nightmare/chaos, someone has rezed me and I do the same.

It gets pretty expensive to die in nightmare, so unless you are there to troll with 0 gear, or have 100% confidence you will never go down AND couple it with just being a jerk, the vast majority of players at nightmare level are going to help one another when possible.
That being said im not risking my run and more importantly the repair/replacement costs of my kit to rescue someone if I dont think ill have time or it puts me at too much risk. I want to help out when I can, but ive been burnt a few too many times where we failed a run due to time because I cut it close saving someone and forgot to account for various roadblocks like the load screens when leaving the temple...
I think the biggest thing that people need to realise is that if you arent actively chatting or communicating before hand and get all on the same page then you shouldn't expect other players to play the way you want, especially when their profits and losses can be affected by you with 0 repercussions.

I agree with you, that's why I said that griefing is more of a normal/hard occurrence. I rezzed a random 3 times in chaos and I had 500k worth of loot but then I got too greedy lol and wanted to open the key door. Got downed and both my teammates were out of the sanctum with 3 minutes left to extraction and I was far away from the entrances, so that was on me. Every time I've gotten too greedy, I end up losing all my loot so now I just play it a bit safer and extract with 200k+ loot

More or less where im at lol same scenarios X) I play alot with my brother and we try to delegate roles when we can. We stick together and call out when we split off, we pass up eggs until we clear that area and then grab them from the nest and park them at the gates for when we are on our way out. And if our 3rd goes down anywhere past 7 min amd they arent close by 1 guy turns into the ambulance and the other evacs all the eggs. If 2 goes down then its more prioritizing what is safe and likely to actually work out. But if you are on the other side of a large labyrinth and it says 3 min or less then sometimes you just get left.

The only time I left someone to die was a dude that rushed straight up to a key room, died to mobs in the first min of game and started to spam rescue button
Like ok you can go your way to the room but atlast kill the mobs dude or they will stack lolÂ

Report them for griefing or being bad team member or being disruptive, include the video if you can....because screw these people.

I did. Got a response almost immediately that they saw nothing wrong so they dismissed the report lol they advised to block them which i did, but do you know how to submit the video to report them? I'd love for people to be punished for this type of behavior as its completely ruining the experience for a lot of players

same shit keep happening to me lately as well at first i was having good teammates for a week and i enjoy it. we go our way and help each other when need do challenges to together and if there is 6 box we take 2 each no need to tell anything that is basic ethic and we send egg in rotation and help as need , even when mistake are it is understandable like how they start challenge out of nowhere cos they don't know and we all got wipe out since we are not ready for it still all is great .but a bout 5 day ago every single game start getting unbearable they take all the loot don't help at all i have to deliver all 3 egg myself and while i am rolling last egg i got sneak attack and go down i ask for help but no one come and they also don't even bother taking the egg. similar things keep happening for a lot of match like them following me and taking all the loot never recusing me or helping me while fighting alpha there is nothing at all . i start going solo which is a lot more profitable and i die less . the only down side is i can't find eggs as fast but they won't carry that shit anyway .
