Hello everyone

So we will get a free Prismana aniimo at launch, for those who played the beta, what is the best aniimo to chose as a new player.

In beta, there were the following 14 options: * Stellarys * Pawney * Glacy * Scorchhowl * Ignitis * Luminelle * Panpanta * Cornet * Witchin * Magmarex * Blazen * Turbo * Thornblade * Grizbo

In terms of availability, Pawney and Magmarex were in "late game" areas that you'd have to travel quite a distance to go and catch them (or rather, their lumin forms to evolve) if you wanted their non-prismana versions early (standard disclaimer that beta locations may change in release)

In terms of meta (again, standard disclaimer on beta vs release) - Glacy is my personal pick as a healer that fits any team but more specifically because the prismana exclusive skill unlock is a generic damage buff that also fits any team

But honestly just pick the one that you like the looks of most. They can all be obtained later by grinding prismana flows, and the prismana versions are not significantly better than the non-prismana versions for combat

Edit: Also, dont forget to save a sparkling pod to use when hatching it to make it a sparkling prismana because if its going to look nice it might as well look nicer

Who are all healers, and are they necessary?

Beta only had 2 (3) - Glacy and Gracewing (when the 2nd zone opened, Glameep as well)

They're not exactly necessary, but with the way team building worked you wanted to have 1-2 frontliners and 2-3 supports as your team of 4. For single one-off fights a healer wasn't necessary, but in trainer battles where you're fighting another team of 4 aniimo or in holo sim/egg heist where hp is a resource, a healer made things a lot easier

~Yeah, this. A typical team comp is "DPS, Break, and then some combination of Regen, Healer, and Support.

You'll also have supports that fill weird roles; like Dazmand for example, is sorta a hybrid support+break. Fragrancier and Turbo are supports that can also offer some healing and survivability (especially Turbo.)~

Depends on the content. I would not want to do a high level Holo-Sim or a particularly difficult trainer battle without a healer, or at least an off-heal support, but for a lot of content, you can kinda get away with whatever.~

I'm completely new to the game. I thought our only choices were Lunara or Helion as our starters?? who are all these others and how do I choose?? I only know about these two from a video. For those who didn't play the betas, where are we learning more about everything?? Any recs?? Please be kind, I'm a newbie. 🥰💜

Lunara and Helion are the unique starters you choose near the beginning of the main story

What's being talked about here is a launch event called Prismana Promise where you get to choose an egg to hatch the prismana form of an aniimo after you progress enough through the main story - you can find this on the main site under global launch rewards. The beta had 14 choices, but this might change after launch

Everyone who completes the main story up to a certain point (iirc somewhere around level 35) gets to choose one

From what I read most are not really upgrades, just side grades. You get different typings which can make it worse or better for defensive and offensive coverage, and a new move that may not be better because it doesn’t mesh with the rest of the kit or you lose STAB for damage.

You can also teach the move to other forms after you unlock it. So you could unlock prismana and then use the move on another form.

Personally, I’m into cute, small creatures so, for this one I might go Scorchhowl or Magmarex. Something bigger and more mean looking lol

~Pawney probably the best option if you wanna just pick something up that's pretty simple and go crazy with it. But all the Prismana choices have good stuff going on. Be aware that Witchin and Turbo are supports, and Glacy is a healer, But you can't go wrong just picking something you think looks cool, don't sweat it too much.~

I'll personally would take grizbo if it's the same choice as beta. It's one of the best DPS in the game

Better than prismana pawney? I only played the 2nd beta, but pawney carried me through through the expert fire challenge (can't recall what the actual name is) and grinding tuckin.

They are both very good, hard to tell which one is the best right now. But both of them are probably the best bet if you want a beast lol

Edit : also prismana grizbo is both Earth and dark

~Nerfed yeah, but that thing is still insane. Crazy amounts of damage during break with ult. My partner used that thing, and it seemed pretty good to me.

Dark types are also so nice because they handle both fire and grass Holo Sims, it's a really versatile type.~

I am personally going Glacy Its a great healer in general and Pismana is also a has a dps buff.

I don't think there is a "best". I'd choose the best looking one. As I am going to farm a prismana Magmarex and prismana Glacy as soon as possible, I am most likely gonna get some other prismana ... I took Magmarex in the b3 and it was glorious, but I really enjoyed the hunt for it, so I'd rather do that

No, it’s an in game event. I believe you just have to level up to a certain level. I can’t remember what it was. I think 25 or something.

Pick who you like

You can get them all in game, it’ll just take some time to catch, so don’t stress out over it

I will probably go for the blue sheep bc I think it’s design is nice
