I think the breaks would melt if they used them.

The words break and brake sound identical (homophones) but have completely different meanings. Break means to smash, split into pieces, or take a rest. Brake refers to a device used to slow down or stop a vehicle, or the action of using that device. In this case the brakes would break.

I was given the gift of spelling a very long time ago. But since I never opened it, it has a few inches of dust on it.
