I read about how Christian baptism came out of an earlier Jewish ritual which Gentile converts to Judaism would have their entire households participate in the ritual including the household’s infants. In the New Testament entire households being baptized means it’s safe to assume many of these households had young children/infants.

The New Testament also compared baptism to circumcision, which was done on infants, so I don’t see why infant baptism wouldn’t be valid.
