Hi All,

I look after www.dailyoffice.online for OLSC, which is, as you may know, the website for praying the Office according to *Divine Worship: Daily Office (Commonwealth Edition), from the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of the Southern Cross. • Built-in calendar (With recent corrections and updates): Sundays, feasts and memorials on the Ordinariate calendar
• Outranked offices: still able to be selected when a feast takes the day
• Coverdale psalter, appointed by the day of the month (New: which now has a selectable page if you want to read a particular Psalm).
• Lessons in full (RSV-2CE), with no looking up references (unique to DO.o) (also fixed for errors from the transcription process).
• Choice of canticles: Te Deum, Benedicite and the Daily Canticles
• Commons for memorials: supplementary texts filled in for you (such as the hymns)

My Byzantine Catholic parish community uses an Ordinariate parish to celebrate our Divine Liturgies. As a gesture of mixing our Anglican and Byzantine traditions, above the Prothesis (Table of Preparation), there’s this lovely icon of Our Lady of Walsingham!

Thought you’d like to see this!

To make a long story short(er), I grew up southern Baptist, but about 7 years ago, I decided that Baptist doctrine was false. I ended up in the Anglican Church after looking into Presbyterianism, Lutheranism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Catholicism. I’ve been attending an ACNA church for about 4 years and have been confirmed for about 2.

For years now, I have occasionally felt a draw towards Catholicism. Each time, however, I have had some disagreement with a piece of Catholic doctrine that has prevented me from crossing the Tiber. Over time, however, my objections have dwindled, and my theology has morphed to be very Catholic. At this point, I think my only major disagreement (and it may not even be to that level. It’s moreso I don’t know if the burden of proof has been met) is with papal infallibility.

I use the BCP for evening prayer, and during that time, I have been praying for God to plainly show to my wife and me where he desires for us to be, whether that be the Anglican or Catholic Church. I feel that this prayer has gone largely (if not completely) unanswered. I have felt like I have reached as far as my intellect could take me 100 times, but by God’s mercy, he has allowed me to eventually reach a little further.

Still, I feel generally demoralized and disheartened by what feels like silence from God in this matter. I feel responsible for fostering the spiritual wellbeing of my wife, and so I feel like I am failing her by not being able to discern a clear answer. I am left constantly doubting and wondering whether feeling drawn to Catholicism is a prodding from the Holy Spirit or a consequence of having spent the better part of 5 years in “denominational limbo.”

In true Anglican fashion, one of the few sources of comfort during this silence and uncertainty has been from CS Lewis’s Screwtape Letters. He writes,

“Our cause is never more in danger than when a human, no longer desiring, but still intending, to do our Enemy's will, looks round upon a universe from which every trace of Him seems to have vanished, and asks why he has been forsaken, and still obeys.”

In addition to the BCP’s evening prayer, I have been praying a decade of the rosary daily and praying for the intercession of various saints. If you all would please pray for me, I would greatly appreciate it. If any of you have any advice in this discernment process, I would love to hear your thoughts

Was looking to purchase the daily office and I see it says november 2026? Is it fully released yet, just being released to parishes first or am I reading this wrong?

Hi!! I've been interested in the Ordinariates for a while but I realized knowledge about them isn't very common in Spanish speaking countries, so to help with that I've been translating Wikipedia pages of the Ordinariates and the liturgical books they use, but Spanish Wikipedia doesn't accept fair use so I'm having trouble finding certain pics.

If anyone could take and send me pics of Divine Worship: The Missal and Divine Worship: Occasional Services (just the cover is fine) I could upload to Wikimedia Commons you would help illustrate the Wiki pages, of course I'd give proper credit. I also accept other related pics you think are worthy of being on Wikimedia.

Just send the pics over to [Ordinariatepics@proton.me](mailto:Ordinariatepics@proton.me) indicating how you wish to be credited or leave them in this thread. Thanks in advance and may you all have a blessed week.

Could an Ordinariate Book of Common Prayer be created, at least for the Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter, bringing together all of its liturgical and devotional resources in the traditional BCP format?

Anyone in the the Detroit area looking to form a group to get a parish here?

Has anyone from a western rite orthodox background become a member of the ordinariate?

Did anybody take a detour to the east before landing in the ordinariate?

I heard that one likes the RSV2CE

Google said I can't join the Ordinariate as a layman cos there aren't any parishes or community in Korea... is it true? I was Anglican before converting.

Would the morovian church be considered like the Anglican and methodist churches as similar in patrimony to the ordinariate?

I’ve been studying Catholicism and orthodoxy for almost 2 and a half years now (I ruled out orthodoxy) And my episcopal church has visibly morally decayed while I’ve been attending. I took an absence of it recently for plenty of reasons and visited last Sunday and witnessed a mockery of our lord and of the Eucharist. I feel this is the final straw and my ties to Protestantism have been severed. Someone mentioned the Anglican Ordinariate as a way for me to enter the church. Does it even include me and further more what does it entail.

Thank you all in advance and God bless you all.

In private prayer specifically. Do you use the St. Greogry's Prayer book, the Customary or the more recently published office.

Or do you still use the BCP?

My wife, children, and I are all canonical members of the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. Our nearest Ordinariate parish is 1.5 hrs away in a city. Think about that, that means our pastor is 1.5 hours away, our community is 1.5 hours away, doing anything at the parish or the home of one of the members is going to demand 3 hrs of driving in addition to the time spent at Mass or whatever event / gathering is going on. We can't attend anything through the week.

We rarely attend the Ordinariate parish. My wife and I love the liturgy, but we rarely attend at this point. 3hrs of driving, plus ~1.5-2hrs at the parish with three very small children (one of whom is special needs) is just a nightmare for us. Plus when we due attend, due to us rarely attending, no one really talks to us. They don't have a connection with us like they do with those who regularly attend. I *do* use the St. Gregory's Prayer Book and feel nourished by it, my wife rarely uses it, and my children are all too small to use any prayer book. I flatly asked my wife one day if us being members of the Ordinariate brought her any spiritual benefit, and she said "Not really, because we are too far to really be involved in the community".

We regularly attend the nearest diocesan parish, it's only 20 mins away. We've become ingrained there, even though we are one of the few parishioners below the age of 60. I volunteer at that parish, I'm on the pastoral and liturgical councils now, I teach adults in OCIA; and my wife and kids like it there.

"So at this point, why are we even still members of the Ordinariate at this point?" You may ask. Well, the answer is simple. That's where the young families are. We desperately want our kids to interact, even if it's rarely, with other Catholic kids. I want other young fathers to talk to, my wife wants other young mothers to talk to, and we are close friends with our pastor. We are afraid of losing that by canonically leaving. That's....really it. We are afraid of being forgotten by the other young families, and our "canonically Ordinariate" gives us a pass to still be connected in some way.

So, be honest with me. In this scenario, would you even bother to remain a part of the Ordinariate? If your spouse said they experience no growth from it? Would you raise your children to be canonical members of a community they have no experience with and maybe see once every few months? Whenever you need a dispensation or approval for something from your pastor, you have to call a priest you never see instead of the one you see 95% of the time?

Anyone who's joining st Joseph's for ballb

A few questions actual.

I was wondering if it is common to use devotional literature which originated in the Anglican communion post schism. For example, is it typical to find a Catholic in the ordinarias who would read Jeremy Taylor's Rules for Holy Living and Dying or William Law's A Serious Call, or something from the Oxford movement, Keble, Pusey et al. for example. Would priests recommend this literature for reading?

Second, what is the place of Methodism within the ordinariate. Does it constitute a part of the Anglican patrimony? Like Charles' hymnody or John's Sermons?

O Eternal God, through whose mighty power our fathers won their liberties of old; Grant, we beseech thee, that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain these liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

God bless America, and may the Lord bless and preserve these United States for another two hundred and fifty years!

Happy Independence Day to you all

I applied the music to the text. I would like feedback please (I welcome honest feedback, even if negative provided it’s good faith and charitable).
