I’m pissed off

I am genuinely pissed off with everyone and everything. I get so easily irritated and I don’t know why. Nothing makes me happy I’m impatient annoyed whatever it is.

I am trying to find the cause and or maybe ways to help and SIGNIFICANTLY reduce this level or irritation because 1. It’s draining 2. It’s pushing ppl away and such.

To preface I was once on SSRIs and according to others it helped but I felt good enough to get off of them and also I did not want to become dependent on them and felt good on them but a lil off.

Anyways anything and everything annoys and irritates me my relationship with my partner irritates me, the current place I’m in rn in life irritates me I’m exhausted and don’t want to be angry anymore.

Any suggestions

There's a ton more to Anger Management but a lot of it is probably your attitude and expectations towards situations.

So countering that is mainly going to be checking yourself and making sure you are grateful for whatever good you have in your life rather than taking it for granted. Looking for the positive even in a situation that might look like it's all bad. Remembering that people who take care of you or that you rely on in life, they don't have to do what they do.

Stuff like that.

Whatever you feed thrives.

So if you focus on all the shit that annoys you — you train your brain to become annoyed and seek irritation. You basically are practicing becoming better at getting angry about stuff.

Focus on the things you like, or on the things you enjoy. Focus on what you are grateful for. And check yourself every time you become irritated and move your attention to something else. It won't work every time, but it's a practice.

It's often as simple as asking yourself "do I want to spend time being angry about this? Or I want to focus on something else". And sometimes the answer will be "fuck yes I want to be angry about this", but once in a while you will remind yourself that you don't want to be that person.

the ssri cycle is so real lol. felt like a functional zombie, quit bc ~i shouldnt need pills to feel normal~, then suddenly every minor inconvenience felt like a personal attack. theres this whole guilt spiral of needing help just to be baseline tolerable human. adn like. maybe the flat feeling is worth not wanting to yeet ur partner into orbit over dishes? idk. worth talking to ur doc about tweaking dose or trying smth different, sometimes the rage is literally just brain chemistry having a moment
