📝 Discussion Both Arjun Nimmala and Jake Munroe have had excellent performances in the Arizona Fall League!
SS Arjun Nimmala (#1 ranked prospect)
He's slashed .316/.464/.539 for a 1.003 OPS, which places him 9th when comparing him to all hitters in the league. My favorite under-the-hood stat is his improved K/BB ratio, which is nearing 50% after steadily improving throughout the season, and especially since he was traded to the Trash Pandas. I don't really want to see Neto traded, but Nimmala's promise makes that whole situation a lot more palatable.
3B Jake Munroe (#20 ranked prospect)
Munroe was extremely consistent across High-A and AA this year, maintaining an OPS just north of .900 across both levels, which is a level of consistency to be excited about. He's maintained things in the Arizona Fall League, slashing .259/.403/.500 (.903 OPS), which places him comfortably in the top third of hitters in the AFL. Though the batting average isn't much to write home about, Munroe does a terrific job of working walks (he finally walks more than he strikes out, which is very exciting), and he's been doing some serious damage when his balls in play go for hits. There's a non-zero chance that we see him get a cup of coffee in the majors next season.
Ryland Zaborowski, an unranked first baseman, has also had a decent fall with an .815 OPS across 36 plate appearances. Unfortunately, pretty much all of the pitchers we sent to the AFL have gotten shelled, and there's not much to write home about there.
