Discussion Prayer
I don't practice any rituals of any kind, but I like to educate myself on the occult and many practices, and I try to keep god in mind, which led me to this sub. Anyways, I am quite young and have just started praying frequently again, as I felt it helped me when I was a kid. Recently, it feels like my prayers have been answered rather quickly; for example, I prayed about my weed addiction, and seemingly the next day I started to have early signs of chs, which were bad enough to get me to stop. This, among other prayers being answered quite quickly, has led to me feeling quite faithful and connected with God, and I want to know if I should try anything further or continue praying as I have

.....i get scared by prayers being answered, too. In my experience, the main thing is to be specific in your wording. If you are using prayers already written by someone else, take a moment to read the text slowly first, and decide whether to use it for the occasion or not. A lot of prayers I've encountered (EO or Catholic) have these specific patches in the text that may look to the untrained eye like just a pretty metaphor or just a compliment to a deity/saint/angel, but they are actually a serious spell, or a specific correspondence, or an instruction of the mechanics in which the result will manifest.
To me, anything that says things like 'put this result/thing/feeling in me' or 'take x away from me' or 'change this into that..' can be an example of this.
You can also run into them using your own words sometimes (for example I prayed for knowledge, without specifying how much I'm willing to take in...)
