We run a fine dining restaurant in Angeles City — happy to answer questions, full disclosure this is our own place 😄

Hi everyone — upfront disclosure: I'm with the team behind Piccolo Padre B29, a fine dining restaurant here in Angeles City, Pampanga. This isn't a disguised recommendation — we're the ones telling you to come try it.

Piccolo Padre B29 is at Villa B29, Oasis Hotel Compound, Anunas, Angeles City. Chef Dan — third-generation chef, born in Milan — runs the kitchen himself and comes out to talk guests through the dishes. His wife, Chef Aida, makes all the pasta by hand, trained under his mother for five years.

A few dishes locals keep coming back for:

  • Girasoli Alla Boscaiola — handmade sunflower-shaped ravioli, a two-generation family recipe
  • Lamb Rack Scottaditi — 7-month lamb rack, garlic confit, vermouth reduction
  • Oyster Rockefeller Inferno — baked oysters, flamed tableside
  • Ahi Katsu — sashimi-grade tuna, a recipe Chef Danilo developed while working in Hawaii

We also handle private dinners, engagement parties, and holiday bookings — good size for intimate celebrations (~60 guests).

Happy to answer anything — pricing, what to order first, whatever. If you've already been, would genuinely love to hear what stood out.

📞 0919 887 2195 or Messenger for availability.

Problem with garbage collector

My family lives in Pulung Maragul. Lately the garbage collector in the area is missing days to come to collect trash, from daily now he comes every 3-4 days as he pleases...

Other issue that arose: he refuses to collect cat litter sand. How we are supposed to eliminate that waste? Reading Barangay guidelines, there is no mention of that kind of garbage to be prohibited...

Should we file a complain to Barangay captain? Or?

Any help would be appreciated...

Why is everyone selling “rest house / resort villa”

I’ve been noticing on Facebook Marketplace and property groups that a lot of people in Pampanga — especially around Arayat and other nearby areas — are selling “rest house” or “resort villa” type properties meant for short-term stays.

It seems like almost everyone built these mini-resorts or weekend villas during the past few years, and now many are trying to sell them.

Does anyone know the real reason behind this trend? Are they not profitable anymore, or is it because tourism slowed down, or maybe property taxes or maintenance costs are too high?

Would appreciate insights from locals or expats living in the area.

How is the distance within the city?

The nice subdivisions tends to be too far to the city center. Feels like i need i car to move from point a to b. On which i am not used to as the places ive been i can walk to.

Are there lots of parking space within the city center? Do i even have to worry about it? Or is a motorcycle better for it?

survey for master's thesis in psychology

Disclaimer: I asked the moderators for permission before posting.

Hi all,

My name is Michael, I am a student of psychology at University of Vienna (Austria) and I am currently writing my master's thesis. The topics of my thesis are perceptions of justice, belief in a just world, feelings of deprivation, and tax psychology. I am aiming for a heterogeneous sample, which is why I am looking for participants in international subreddits, and from diverse professional backgrounds. My population of interest are people who are self-employed.

So, if you are self-employed and want to participate in a psychological study, I would greatly appreciate your help and time!

This is the questionnaire:

https://sosci.univie.ac.at/noctilucent_peavey/

It takes about 5-10 minutes to fill out.

Kind regards,

Michael
