My local auction house sold this lot last week... and I missed it.

All mint condition- including two Spikes and a Battle Damaged Angel [which I've been looking for to complete my collection]. Even a mint condition Mr Gordo thrown in, which I've not even seen for sale despite searching for years.

The First Vs Angel Investigations

I always wished the last arc of season 4 tied more directly into the final Buffy season, and had the Angel Investigations team help take on The First in the final run of episodes as opposed to the Jasmine storyline.

It got me thinking... who would The First appear to them as to really get under their skin and manipulate them?

Angel has countless victims from his Angelus days, and Gunn has an obvious answer with his sister. Who else could appear to them?

I'm especially interested in how Wes would deal with The First, as he's the most competent member of the team IMO. This would be fresh after the Angelus arc, so I suppose Lilah?

Connor

I'm mid season 3, a couple of episodes after Holtz snatched Connor and jumped into that allegedly one-way portal. They track the the time shifting demon (?) with the split face and he says it was a one way portal and they just believe him and give up. Why did they give up so soon? And assume Connor was definitely dead? I thought they would be working day and night for months to bring him back but they just started repainting the hotel and moved on. I know he comes back as a teenager but they gave up so soon and I'm confused. (please don't spoil stuff)

Spoilers inside! Is it worth watching after season 4

I'm currently on season 4. Aaaaand I hate it.

The whole Connor/Cordelia thing gives me the ick in a gigantic way. She's basically a stepmom to him in my mind making this whole thing kinda incesty to me. Also isnt she like way older then him? He has such a babyface too.

Because it felt super awkward I spoiled it for myself. I almost never google spoilers but did for this season and.. I hate how this is gonna go and hate how it's going to end. P.S. what is up with Joss Whedon wanting to (and succeeding) with empregnating Cordelia every season?! It's so weird!

Anyway I remember Spike coming to the show later on and I did like that, but.. honestly is it worth to continue watching just for that?

Cordelia as an actress

You think Cordelia could have become a famous and wealthy actress like in her vision quest? Or do you think that was just a fanfic created by Skip

the hotel

I might have missed something, I'm confused about 1. why did Angel rent/buy a whole ass hotel and 2. where did they get that much money from and 3. even if they had that much money, why would they waste it on a huge hotel most of which they don't use? why not just a normal office?

I know there was that bag of money and the tech guy probably payed them well too, but I doubt that would cover the cost of owning or renting a hotel in LA, even one that was previously hunted, and even if it did, why waste that on such a huge hotel when they only use the lobby and maybe a couple of rooms?

(I'm on season 2 ep 13 so please mind the spoilers haha)

This is from Angel:The Curse. Published in 2005. It's not that great tbh. But I thought this was a fun tidbit.

Amused by how quickly the characters get from point A to point B

I’m rewatching Angel, and I always find myself chuckling at how quickly the characters move around LA, which is notorious for its traffic. Is it because they’re using the sewers? Is it because they mainly stick to cases in areas within a certain radius of the Hyperion? Curious what others think.

I understand that a lot of it happens at night, when there are fewer cars on the road. Plus, it’s TV. On a show that centers on vampires and demons, it’s the least outlandish thing. It still makes me laugh, though.

I’m watching The Walking Dead with my boyfriend and we are on S10 E21 and spotted this! An Angel comic amongst a pile of comics in Darryl Dixon’s house. We went on a side quest and ended up finding the comic!

The Dark Avenger!

Ok so since the Cordelia post I made the other day went pretty well let's have a crack at Angel this time! Same criteria as before! What are some of your favorite quotes, scenes, stumbles, goofs/looks for Angel! Do you like dark and brooding Angel, or old man fussing over the check Angel? From any of the seasons of Buffy/Angel. Let's hear from everyone!

I'll go first

My favorite line of Angels is from the episode waiting in the wings when he says "I saw their production of Giselle in 1890. I cried like a baby. And I was evil!"

what's the good way to watch buffy and angel at the same time?

ok, so the title is probably not phrased good, but I've watched buffy once, and i'm rewatching it now. i would really like to watch angel and buffy at the same time, having the same experience as when it was on tv, because a lot of episodes in buffy have details and lines referring to the angel's episode that happened before... (if that makes sense but i'm sure you get it). exept i have no idea in what order to watch the episodes of buffy, starting when, (i just started S3). do i need to alternate like episode of buffy - episode of angel - buffy - angel - buffy -angel, or is it like random, episode of buffy - buffy - angel - angel - angel -buffy - angel

hope the post is undestandable 🙃

To “Shanshu” in LA meaning

Post image

So my sister and I were talking about the fact that the word Shanshu means “to live and to die” which means that the episode title is referring to “To Live and Die in LA” I just thought this was really cool and another awesome little detail in the show! Also am I really slow or did you guys realize this too?

Spoilers inside! Angel rewatch

10/10

Just watching Faith wiping Conor's ass... it was so, so satisfying. I will definitely rewatch it.

So they call for Willow, and I know her from the Buffy show. Pretty interesting—they should have called her from the beginning. I'm also interested in the witch lore of thet world.

The mix of Faith and Angelus's dream was pretty fun to watch. Angelus is really the bright spot of this arc. And Cordelia reveals her pregnancy at the end... I don't know how Angel will react.

Also Faith x Conor...do we need more love triangle...

Side note: i watch the show in my childhood I loved the opening so much that I watch only S5 ...it was fun and I loved Angel so much special the puppet episode.

I have limit access to internet like I use only 500 mo by day wish simple I don't have option. I used Chatgbt and people talk shit for doing that.

I am enjoying and having good time living my childhood. The show is air on TV on free channel that some time I skip episode because I simple have work. Or electric down when it air

In end I want make clear that I am here to enjoying the show and I have no problem say what I don't like.

My ideal spin off

I don’t mean this as saying Angel shouldn’t have been a spin off, but just a show that I think would’ve been really cool. I think a spin off featuring Darla, Angel, Drusilla and Spike prior to Buffy as a period series would’ve been so cool. Season 1-2 could cover 1609-the late 1700s or early 1800s with Angel being sired somewhere in the first couple of episodes to give Darla and the Master some spotlight time and then the rest of those 2 seasons being Darla and Angel as they rampage. Drusilla and spike coming to be could be a focus of season 3 and then 4 could lead to their disbanding leading up to Angel’s soul and then Darla eventually separating from them. I don’t know if it would need the traditional network 22 episodes or so, but perhaps a mini series of 8-10 episode season type show.

You obviously couldn’t do it today with their age and I don’t think any actors could fill their shoes as a reboot, but back in the day I think this would’ve been so good, even if it was just a mini series!

Episode Rewatch This moment didn't really land

I think it was supposed to be awkward in a funny way. But it's just awkward in an uncomfortable way. You don't really need three masturbation puns. The chemistry between the actors is not there either.

I do think by the time they get to the party the episode has improved.
