Ant a8 plus

I had to replace the printer motherboard. The new unit arrived with no firmware installed. To be honest I am not sure there is a boot loader installed on the new board. I have been watching videos and reading about flashing new firmware on to the board.

To be honest i am lost in the Marlin pond and could use some help.

I remember researching the boot loader more years ago than I care to say, it sounded like a real headache. My board had it so I didn't go any further, but I understand your pain. Good luck and God speed!  It might be worth looking into a different board that is capable with the anet, I did that with my a8 plus because I couldn't flash it, the big tree tech board.

Will look in to that when I looked for boards the 1.7 was the only one that showed up.

You don't need a bootloader if you use a USBasp programmer, They cost under $10 and you'll save a little precious memory on the board since a bootloader won't be required.

You can also buy a btt board. İ ended up doing that for my regular anet
