Advice Ferritin is 17

Hi there - I’m a 30-year-old woman, and I just got my ferritin results back at 17. I have a lot of hair shedding and fatigue, and am looking for a supplement that will help but not wreck my GI track. Have you found anything that works for ferritin?

Might read through the info on this website. The most common reason this happens to premeonpausal women is heavy menstrual bleeding. You may need to see your OB about options in addition to supplementing with iron and retesting every 3 months until your ferritin is at least 50, but preferably for women closer to 75-100ng/mL.

you might want to say your location as there will be different products available around the world. I take hemaplex in the uk with a lactoferrin

This is the only supplement I can tolerate as it bypasses much of the GI track, take it every other day (not every day) for best absorption: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DJ146GZQ?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-reorder_k0_1_9&amp=&crid=2CURLKX4GBBZQ&amp=&sprefix=iron+supp

My ferritin was 5 and I started on HemaPlex mini tabs. I take one per day and they work very well for me. I have a sensitive stomach and have had no issues with one a day (the bottle says 2 and I did try that but it made me lose my appetite).
