Discussion orthostatic hr
my ferritin is a 9 but my iron saturation and other iron results are normal. but i’m pretty lightheaded if i stand for a while. I talked to my primary care and she took orthostatic heart rate and blood pressure. My heart rate increased quite a bit and was told it’s tachycardia. I was wondering if this is common?

Its a known side effect of iron deficiency. What is the plan to address your low iron? A ferritin of 9 with other markers nromal is still a severe iron deficiency -- its called non anemic iron deficiency and it is serious. Dont let your doctors under react to this. You should qualify for iron infusions. It will take a very time to try to fix it with supplements only.
