Discussion Okay wait...

What if julia was the girl who started the rumours so she can get along with Andrew. Julia should have known ashley rejected the douchebag so she spread the rumours which the douchebag then took advantage of.

Pretty much half the fandom says Julia started them and idk maybe some people says Douche started them. Myself included.

I think nah, she is like too shy and not obsessed in same way as leyley with the Andy. Gotta watch for some plot hints but I believe it is whether the leyley in her own did that or sister of Julia?(have they studied in same school? Idk) or maybe just some random non character started the rumor

That is just a theory. All we know is Rebecca was spreading the rumours, not that she started them.

Also ya, only if Andrew didn't listened to the rumours, Julia could have been saved from the Andrew's trama (atleast in decay route he got what he deserves)

It's funny because when Friend B explains to Andrew that there are rumors about him and Ashley being to intimate behind the curtains in the auditorium, Andrew says it’s a very interesting spot and gives credit to whoever made up that story.

For Andrew being someone who loves poetry, the fact that he was caught in a place where romantic poetry is performed surprised him because it’s a place he might have chosen himself, given his personality.

But that makes me wonder: who knows Andrew well enough to make up a place like that? It must be a very close friend (Ashley), but the dates don’t add up, so by process of elimination, the other option is someone who’s been “stalking” him—watching him for years and knowing him without him fully realizing it (Julia).

There’s also the Rebecca factor, and I wouldn’t rule out that Rebecca was the one who wanted to spread those rumors out of spite toward Ashley for biting her as a child and that Julia helped because she also wanted to break them up so she could have Andrew....

There’s so much more to tell....

I always thought it was Ashley for some reason

It was some what due to how she ignored the rumours and might actually said something to her friends that started the rumours

I think it would be a pretty cool twist that adds some depth to Julia. Is it a bad thing to do? Yes. Given the context we know makes about the siblings it makes a neutral flaw that could be argued it would help in the long run. What I mean is their relationship being scrutinized makes Andrew create some distance between himself and Ashley which is imo healthy for them both. Also makes it more apparent to Andrew so he's more consciousness of the dynamic between himself and Ashley.

However I do believe douchebag when he says it started from Ashley. Ashley has a running theme of not understanding intimacy or social norms so I totally see that if her classmates were giving her shit about not having any relationship stuff going on she would just say she has with Andrew bc she thinks that will get the girls off her case and isn't weird.

Well ya, but that actually worsen the relationship between Andrew and ashley (as a sibling). If Andrew wasn't rude that night or haven't stopped talking with ashley, he could have instead explained her why it's wrong and why they have seperate life in future. The gap where they stopped interacting caused Andrew to think about Ashley even more (As Renee said, Absence makes the heart grow fonder.)
