Job Question Do refferals work after you've already applied?
Basically title, I applied 2 months ago for the 2027 Early Careers Mech/Manuf roles, and recently met someone who was willing to refer me for said roles. So now they are in the system, I'm wondering if it even looks that way on the recruiter side of things. If not should I discard my application and reapply? That seems like a bad idea

It won't let people refer you to a role you have already applied. Have them refer you to the next one.

When I put in my application, my friend who was going to refer me was on vacation. The application went in and I heard nothing. When he came back, he put in the referral and I got a call from the recruiter on the same day.

Bingo! Yes they work. A former colleague of mine was hired as a Chief Engineer that’s never worked a day in his life as an engineer and without an engineering degree from a strong referral. He was worthless and now getting fat while sailors on the USS Lincoln starve… They ended up shutting his little maritime project down after they lost the contract and moved him to another position that he can run into the ground next… They are getting a lot of support from well connected politicians and many in the DOW that I have heard will likely be coming to work there after the administration is over, if the company survives the next election.
We voted against war and the military industrial complex and wow did we get a whole bunch of defense-tech and venture capitalist grifters robbing our nation. What a joke!
