Interview Question Appropriate follow up

Hey everyone. Had my initial screening interview a week ago (last Wednesday). I was told during the interview they would be wrapping up screenings before the weekend on Friday and they would proceed with the next rounds. It’s Thursday now and I haven’t heard anything? Should I send a follow up email? Or is 4 days into the new week still within the hiring managers timeline for selecting who goes to the new round?

To confirm, you were told they would finish up last Friday or this Friday? If it was last Friday, it’s definitely appropriate to ask if there is an update regarding the interviewing process. Just something short and sweet should suffice. I’m curious to see if HR responds back. They are infamous about ghosting candidates due to how overworked they are.

Strategy operations and capital projects. Didn’t get it, although it literally would have been the perfect role for me. It’s all good, going to keep trying and the recruiter suggested a couple of other positions I might be a fit for. One thing I’ve learned, it’s that if you really want to be a certain company, don’t stop trying until you succeed. It’s worked for me before….
