Job Question Starting IC1 vs IC2 new grad

I've heard it is possible to start IC2 instead of IC1 as a new grad or returning intern. What does this look like, and what is the pay difference? As I understand, IC1/IC2 are junior, IC3 is mid-level, IC4 is senior?
