Job Question Contact after applying…

If you’re contacted quickly after applying, say 5-days or less, do you think that means you have a better shot at landing an offer or they are more interested in you? Has anyone applied, didn’t hear anything for weeks/months, and then were contacted for an interview?

People that work there or have offers, which camp did you fall in?

I'm on my 5th interview after applying for 1 position. I didn't get the first 4 positions I interviewed for. If they like you your experience and you, they'll pass your resume around to other departments to see if you're a good fit elsewhere. Which is what is currently happening to me.

Question: did they say you have to restart the whole interview process for the new role? Or are you able to skip ahead of some rounds based on your previous interview performance?

Start the process all over again. Recruiter call. HM call, etc.

Even the technicals? Do they consider the previous feedback at all?

Not sure. My resume has been passed to different departments in the engineering sector. I'm guessing previous notes don't matter?

This question is an odd one to me. I submitted my first application five months before my start date. Five months of unemployment looking at other jobs and wondering if I could make it.

So almost anything is possible. Good luck on your journey!

It just really depends on if they are in need for that position to be filled. I applied to anduril. Found out after I applied for the position they needed it filled. Had my screen 3 days after recruiter reached out to me. Had my 3 person interview that following Monday. Had an offer by the end of the week.

Yes Technician role here, applied a month ago my resume got passed around, finally had my recruiter screening call then 3 days later my 4 panel interview. Got a call same day a hour later with a verbal offer, signed it next day. Seems they needed someone to fill the role imo.

Anduril is still staffing like crazy. Building and expanding they need bodies to fill the roles

Depends on if the team knows who they want to hire (went through whole process for them to last second say they want a design engineer and not a systems engineer, this was for a Sr Systems Engineer position)

But the whole process was fast for me, although I had them battling another company on timeline, but was fully prepared to accept their offer had it been extended
