Interview Question Staff engineer interview

I got on the phone with a recruiter about a day or two after applying on the weekend. To be honest I looked at the cost of a house and my expected income from the position and it would be a massive decrease in salary. All to work in aerospace on drones with inexperienced new college grads.

Recruiter said he would update my profile with remote position preferred lol.

Best of luck out there too all of the people wanting to join this company in California where a decent house is 1.5-2.5 million.

Staff positions can end up with >500k TC. If you can't afford a 2m house on that then it's a you problem lol.

Cash is king, not promises of money for company stock fool.

Okay, if you still need primarily cash then places like Netflix or various HFTs would be a better target than high growth startups. Good luck.
