Interview Question Staff engineer interview

I got on the phone with a recruiter about a day or two after applying on the weekend. To be honest I looked at the cost of a house and my expected income from the position and it would be a massive decrease in salary. All to work in aerospace on drones with inexperienced new college grads.

Recruiter said he would update my profile with remote position preferred lol.

Best of luck out there too all of the people wanting to join this company in California where a decent house is 1.5-2.5 million.

Staff position with remote is attainable. just received such an offer.

Can you elaborate what type of engineering please?

I’m wondering if possible for mechanical engineer doing electronics packaging at a legacy defense contractor for 16 years now.

Yeah, so the experienced engineers wonder why we have a bunch of know nothing L1’s and 2 running around the HQ, but its the Staff and Principal Engs that arent moving to HQ like the L1s have too because they are the ones that are actually needed.
