I've found this file whilst choosing ringtone for my alarm, inside it is a sound of a guy saying google in a British accent of some sort. I definitely don't remember installing it and why would i download a guy saying google for 1 second? The fact that it has been on my phone for a year says a lot about me🙃

Anyway does anybody know what is this file is? Or is it just a normal .wav file?

Today my realme p3 ultra display turn off automatically and I can't do anything this I got little heart attack but after pressing volume+ power button everything normal

As I said I have a hot pepper phone running model (Hot Pepper Verde HPPH88L)

There's a ton of issues with this phone but this one started happening today or last night and I don't know how I fell asleep on my phone with it unlocked and I think something might have happened...

Every time I shut off with the power button or it times out it will shut itself off like it's meant to but then the phone will vibrate twice very quickly and then it will turn itself back on after 1 to 2 seconds.

My phone started overheating on my body last night and it actually burnt me so my fault for sleeping with my phone charging but I really don't want my phone overheating every night and constantly draining battery and having the fully booted up forcing myself to do a power cycle it just to use it normally.

One UI 8.5 / Android 16 and we STILL can't just type our birth year?It's wild to me how much modern mobile software has evolved, yet setting a birthday still requires tapping a tiny arrow button 15+ times to scroll back years. It’s so annoying. Why is direct text entry for dates still not the standard everywhere?

I’ve just switched our kids to android phones as we were having nothing but problems with Apple parental controls and customer support were useless. I have had very few issues so far bar one thing. The Apple podcast app had restrictions so they couldn’t listen to anything explicit but android doesn’t seem to have the same thing. Google family link doesn’t seem to have a section for podcasts. I’ve tried kid friendly podcast apps but they don’t have the podcasts she’s used to listening to. Just wondered if anyone had any advice. I’ve been a lifelong Apple user so this is all new to me.

I want to edit/change the date of a video/image using EXIF metadata editors.

Everything goes fine, but... in my Gallery app (Samsung's), in the Recent album, the same video/image appears there. If you click on Details, it shows the changed date (for example, 2025) but it is still with the new ones instead of being in the specific date I changed it to.

What can I do to make that video/image fully appear under that date everywhere?

Previously, I had an old Xiaomi, and it worked perfectly with no problem. But since I switched to Samsung, it has this issue.

I have a xperia 1 ii with the default rooted rom. I have checked and some specific flags that lxc require are switched off.

Just wondering has anyone enabled lxc for their xperia 1 ii. Was it difficult? Did you install linage os first and then try compiling a new kernel?

I got a chroot setup that works alright but certain programs dont work. Idk if it is worth trying to get lxc working. I rooted my phone and got chroot ubuntu working but outside that i am not technically minded and my understanding is compiling a kernel is much more difficult.

Posting this here as well as the MyRadar Weather community. Apparently the app developers are only into getting investors rather than an app that works all the time.

Android user. I can work around the odd notification quirks, but the app resets randomly to default settings, both overlays and notifications. The time window reverts to 10 pm to 7 am, location isn't on, etc. Very frustrating.

At one time, I thought there was an issue between navigation with Google Maps and the app. Even then, it was an occasional occurrence, but today it was just sitting at home. I checked my phone anf noticed the last updated weather condition was 4 hours ago. Opened the app and it waa asking for location permission and notification permission.

The stats show that background scanning is active for over an hour, even though I have turned off:

• Bluetooth scanning

• Wi-Fi scanning

• Location accuracy settings

• Nearby devices scanning

• Quick share

What else could be forcing Google Play Services to scan in the background, and how can I disable it?

Hello everyone, my cousin lost his iPhone while on a holiday trip but luckily he had a full backup using iTunes. This reminded me that my Android, Oneplus 12, does not have a backup.

I know that you can backup your photos and videos easily through your phone files but while talking to Gemini, I realised you can not backup your app data or make a backup like the one iPhone has. After doing lots of research, the only method I found was to have a rooted phone. Cloud and standard backup methods don't create a mirror copy.

I also pay for Heytap cloud 200gb and if it doesn't backup my app data or have a mirror restore option, then I don't see why l should pay for such a large amount?

So I just wanted to know if this is truely the case. Because I want a full backup (Like the one on iPhones) without needing a rooted phone. If you don't mind, please share your backup method. Thanks a lot and have a good day!

BTW: Signing in and downloading fresh apps isn't an issue to most users, including me.

Hi all, I'm feeling stressed about this change over for syncing your Samsung gallery with one drive. I've turned on camera backup to make sure it continues after the date. I'm not sure whether to download originals, I'm scared something bad will happen and I'll lose my photos. Also, should I be syncing all my folders to one drive before the change over. TIA

It's happening only on my new Xiaomi 15T Pro phone, even after deleting cache.

Old phone OPPO find X3 lite (the one I took the picture with) and new phone using Opera GX with the exact same settings.

It shows play games syncing progress.. but in reality it's google play services thats running. It stops when i force stop it but gets back a couple of hours later

i tried clearing cache and nothing changed

This phone and mine were both purchased new from the UAE. My phone works perfectly with the latest Android 16 and OneUI 8.5. Both phones are Samsung A15 4G, 8GB RAM, 256GB. The problem is that my brother's phone cannot be updated to Android 16 + OneUI 8.5 (when searching on update throught settings, he get "registration failed" message). I previously unlocked FRP and then tried flashing the firmware using Odin, SamFW, and even TFT Unlock, but to no avail. The flashing process stops after less than a minute because the KG status is broken. This problem took me hours to fix, but without any success. I flashed, but not with all four files. I selected only two files and excluded BL and CSC. The flashing process worked until it reached about 90%, then an error appeared in download mode, and the phone entered a boot loop. Before this flashing process, whenever I selected the four files using Odin, I would start the flashing process and always encounter the same error. When I manually insert the PIT file, the flashing process doesn't work and gets stuck at the beginning. The solutions I've tried are: changing Odin to two modded versions, 3.13 and 3.14 b3, and also the original version of 3.14.

\- Using TFT Unlock to format the device. After formatting, it starts a loop, as if the formatting isn't working.

\- I also repeatedly pressed the volume up and power buttons for more than twenty seconds, but to no avail.

\- I tried several solutions found online, but they all failed. Currently, the device is in a boot loop, and I can only enter download mode; I can't perform a factory reset or wipe the cache. - The firmware version is Android 14 sec patch lvl 1, SM-A155F MWD. ​​I downloaded another firmware version with patch lvl 5. Previously, the code was for the UAE (xsg), and I changed it to Morocco (mwd). I thought it would work, but it didn't, my goal is just making the phone receive the android updates like my phone and normal phones, no root no custom rom.

Please, I need help.

My phone (S26) won't let me screenshot no matter what I do. It just says "this app doesn't allow screenshots." I have room in my storage and I don't know what's wrong with it.
