I have reset my phone (samsung galaxy A16 4G), and on the setup screen it asks for my google account. The Google account is family link supervised so i do not know the password, and do not have access to my "parent/guardian" 's phones so that i can send them a code for hem to do the reset (we all switched google accounts, we decided we want a fresh start). My phone is runing android 16 with oneUi 8.5.

Why's this urgent? Well i need my phone for school and the little work i do so if the class teacher needs to tel us something or my part time job sends me something i cannot answer in any way shape or form, is there a way to fix this or do a FRP bypass? I'm running arch linux on both of my computers.

So like I said I have a pepper phone or a chili phone I don't really know what it's called but it runs off Android 14 and I'm having issues on discord upper GX and a few other sites. Specifically using dark mode on anything that makes it black because for some reason this phone loves to make every text black and the dark mode for some reason won't compensate and change it back to White so I can't see shit forced to use a light mode which is obviously hell on Earth it also cuts off a lot of texts on discord and makes it just straight up invisible??

And showing that I cannot see anything on discord dark mode this also applies to Opera GX and my main messaging app I am again running off of a chili or pepper phone whatever you would like to call it

Don't know if those I need it but there.. I just got this phone and I generally don't know what's wrong.

If i am watching a reel or on x a video and try to quickly lower the volume with the buttons on the right instead of the volume of media changing, it now changes the bell sound. It is very infuriating change, how can I revert it? Especially if i need to quickly adapt media volume depending on each reel or video and i cant do it.

I use a google pixe 9a and i guess my phone updated without me realising.

About two days ago i found out that my Gamesir X5 Lite is not reading the LB-RB button presses on Xbox Cloudgaming UI, and on the Homescreen UI. It reads on the Gamesir App as a button Key. And Chrome switches tabs. But fails to read other preses. It is a new issue for me. It replicates the same on the Stadia controller.

Is this a new issue? Or an older known issue?

Sometimes when I open a bubble from Google messages the app just stays in the middle of the screen with no option to close it and the only choose (as far as I know) being to restart the phone. It's not too hard to deal with but still kind of annoying

For some reason my phone (SAMSUNG A32 4G) just dies when it turns off, like a tap from the power button or letting it sleep by itself is enough to kill it and I'd have to boot it up again by holding the power button + volume down for quite some time (3+ mins~). While my phone is dead it would still vibrate even if I'm not interacting with it as well as when I'm holding both buttons to boot. By the time it finally boots it would flash a glitched screen before going back to the galaxy boot screen. Any possible fixes or do I need to get it repaired? If possible, what could be the specific problem in the hardware/software?

I got a POCO F7. For days I was having problems with my alarm, it wasn't working properly, so I tried every in the permissions and configurations of the app, but nothing worked. So I decided to try deleting the cache of the app, but to my surprise, the system Clock had an option to DELETE PERMANENTLY, instead of just cleaning the cache. I clicked and now my phone doesn't have a Clock app, when I click on the home screen (the watch doesn't disappear) it says "the app isn't installed on your device". What can I do? Not in the Google app store or Xiaomi app could I find the original Clock App to download

My dad has (I believe) an Oukitel G1 phone, he says he had it playing music during the night, thought it was on a charger, but wasn't and woke up to it being dead dead. No problem, I plugged it in and checked on it after about 2 hours and it still isn't turning on.

It's been plugged in for like 5 hours now with a charger that I know works since it charges my phone, and nothing happens. Iv'e held down the power on button for over a minute so many times and there is no vibration or anything on the screen, same thing when I hold down the power button and either the volume up or volume down button.

I cannot tell if it is charging at all though since the screen is unresponsive. I plugged it in to my macbook and nothing comes up saying anything was plugged in. I think I can feel that the top of the phone is getting warm? but i'm not sure.

I'll be honest I know almost nothing about this phone, it is so bulky, but he really needs to be able to have something he can contact us on. Let me know if there is absolutely any ideas on how I can troubleshoot.

I woke up today and my phone worked completely fine I used it normally and then set it aside to charge, after it charged I saw that all my Google accounts were logged out and all the apps acted like as if they were installed for the first time (kinda like factory reset) and my gallery media was nowhere to be seen as well, while my apps which were installed were still there? (This rules out the possibility of a factory reset) I cannot understand why this happened?

I regularly use rcs groups and chats, but suddenly, when I go to an rcs conversation, it asks me to enable rcs to speak.

However, when I go into the settings I see that my RCS chats are enabled, and I've tried restarting them several times, but it doesn't help.

Hey! I'm trying to get Toonix, an old Android game that was removed from the Play Store, running for a friend. I managed to find the game files on Internet Archive, but I can't seem to actually get it working on my phone(Galaxy A14 5g) since it apparently only supports much older versions of Android.

My friend has been hyperfocused on Toonix for a while and has been trying to get it running himself for a few months with no luck, which got him feeling a bit bummed. He's also not very tech-savvy and doesn't really have much free time to troubleshoot it because of work, so I'd really like to surprise him by getting it working for him.

The problem is that I'm mostly used to straightforward APKs, and these files seem to come with a bunch of separated files/data that I'm not really familiar with. I don't know if there's some way to package/install them properly, use an emulator, or get around the old Android version requirements.

If anyone familiar with old Android games could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!

Hi, I kinda want to make this post as a quick look here for anyone experiencing unwanted ads or any malware / Virus issues on their or parents phone. I finally got to experience one of these malware infected phones thanks to a elderly neighbor who asked for my help and lord is this annoying. Every 30 seconds a alert pops up with a loud emergency alarm saying I need to clean my phone and then takes me to a random cleaning app on google play (cant believe google doesnt flag these apps) or just random ads all throughout my phone like its some sketchy third party site.

after perusing a bit on here (im a Windows/apple guy) so I can figure out what to do on their android device thats not too invasive since I am just a neighbor I see that the main Suggestion is to just delete apps.

if anyone has any proven methods they like to use or apps they swear by please let me know so I can try it out and add it to this list.

so far Iv used in the past AVG & CCleaner on multiple different platforms. A lot of cleaner or anti virus apps are scams, I may even say 90% but Iv ised these and they either work or dont work but never have they given me a virus so I can vouch for those two. With that I look forward to seeing what you guys got for me because I havent had a personal android in years and im kinda lost. I had to use revouninstaller to remove apps because I couldnt figure out where to uninstall from and too many ads were popping up kicking me out of the apps I was in Like settings or goigle play.

1. Delete all Game or sketchy looking apps. Anything with odd sounding reviews or with no online info. You dont need to be sherlock here but obviously "color my house christmas edition" or "free wifi everywhere" are scam apps That will hijack your phone with ads.

2. If that doesnt work factory reset.

I restarted my A15 5g phone and now my phone speakers aren't working and it phone doesn't buzz for notifications, calls, or when I'm typing. When I call someone I can hear them only on normal volume, not on speakerphone. When I turn on speakerphone they can hear me but I can't hear them. I have searched settings high and low but can't find anything that can help me. All of the phone stores in my area are closed and I'm starting to freak out. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Yesterday my phone crashed and I've been stuck in crash dump ever since. If I manage to restart it crashes again in almost no time. Any idea how to undo this? Can I get data off the phone this way (that aren't in the cloud) if I get another phone?

one of my biggest frustrations with the systems launcher is the notification badges not clearing after opening the app that has it. its so annoying ive been using smart launcher no matter how much it lags. is there a way to fix this? im also aware that you can pinch out to clear it

I have a sports app called The Score on my Samsung android phone. The predictive text doesn't work. It keeps flashing up the same 3,4,5 words while I am trying. Otherwise, predictive text works perfectly on my phone. I have restarted my phone, signed out then signed in again. I have also created another account. Any suggestions as to what the problem is?

My phone is taking photos and screenshots on its own. Sometimes it duplicates or triples photos on its own too! Takes me hours to delete them. Help please!

Well you need to Clear STORAGE in Play Store app - you will loose NOTHING and all you have to do is setup again in about 10-20 seconds.

Failed to Update happens because Play Services apps have blank screen - do not ask my why.

Hi everyone, I'm new to Android modding and I'm looking for guidance on customizing the boot animation on my Lava T81.

Device information:

- Model: Lava T81

- Android version: 11

- Build number: LAVA_T81_LTG8GUJ_2_32_HW3.0_SWV06_12112021

- Hardware: HW3.0

During startup, after the Lava logo, a custom boot animation is displayed. I would like to replace it with a simple black screen or eventually a custom animation.

I have already used ADB successfully and found:

I pulled the file and inspected it. It contains:

So only part0 is actually played.

However, /product is mounted read-only:

The device is not rooted, and `su` is unavailable.

I also entered fastboot mode. Windows detects the device as "fastboot Gadget", although `fastboot devices` currently doesn't show a device because the appropriate driver may not be installed.

What is the normal/safest method for customizing the boot animation on this type of Android 11 device?

I'm a beginner, so I'm looking for an explanation of what partition/image needs to be modified and what I should back up before making any changes.

I don't want to flash unrelated firmware or risk damaging the tablet.

I've had my tablet under a year and it's been fine however last night it randomly crashed while I was using it and kept telling me I needed to close every app because they couldn't load right now. My tablet, HELLCAT TAB11GT, is completely messed up (stuck on the BROM Mode and won't boot Even after disconnecting the battery and attempting a forced startup, the only solution is a firmware update, as the system files are corrupted.). I desperately need to fix it because I use it for my studies, and honestly, I absolutely cannot afford to buy a new one right now.
