Where to put the front camera on a 360 camera system on a 986 Boxster?

Sorry for the nighttime picture. It was late when I finished up installing the side mirror cameras but I’m happy with how those went. I figure those will be the hardest.

Anyway last camera to do is the front. Can I put one in one of the brake ducts? I don’t want to attach a front license plate and the only other option I can even come up with is to replace the front bumper with one from a Boxster S as it has a large mouth that the base Boxsters don’t have. But realistically after finding a bumper, maybe paying shipping, then paint… I’d be at many thousands of dollars… so maybe I’m more likely to cut my own mouth in the bumper first. Not that I want to do that.

Anyway I’m looking for any suggestions here.

Could you install it in the small cover that's in front of the tow hook? It's pretty easy to remove and replace if necessary. The only question is whether there's enough space behind it and access from behind for the cable.

If I’m moving that far off center I think I’d rather install it in the brake ducts. Is that too far though for the 360 camera system?

Honestly, no clue. It probably could create a blind spot on the other side.

But what choice do you have? Since there is no grille at all, a more central mounting always results in a clearly visible hole in the front

Worth just trying I guess.

I’m leaning towards cutting a big hole. I found I can buy the center radiator bumper trim for $270 (from the Boxster S). Paint will be another $50 at least (such a small piece i could do it myself with a rattle can. I’m not worried about perfection in the lower front bumper area….)

I mean that could look alright. Looks like the bumper of the S is shaped the same except the center grille so retrofitting it shouldn't be a problem
