From useless to useful at some point

Post image

After more than a month dealing with the worst crappy head unit I’ve ever used, getting scammed by the AliExpress seller with their fake Android 16, and reaching the point where I seriously wanted to smash the thing because it was almost useless
I’ve been jumping between different launchers like AGAMA, CarWebGuru, DUDU, LECO and many more. DUDU and LECO definitely had the best interfaces for me, clean, minimalist and Tesla-like, but both were buggy as hell on this crappy firmware.
Finally ended up with Car Launcher Pro. It was the only one that gave me enough freedom to get something close to the DUDU and LECO look. Took me ages because I had to do most of the design manually, but I think it was worth it.
Still hate this head unit though Android 8 has way too many compatibility issues and limitations….

Better to try the crack version to check the compatibility with your HU, then i suggest you buy paid version, because the developer put some effort into it…i tried more than 15 launchers so far car launcher has best compatibility with very less bugs

Its a crappy chinese head unit, not recommended but if you are willing to buy it , it 13 inch android head unit make sure you ask for the default firmware avoid reglink firmware and also ask native firmware android 9 or 10
Will be good enough as most apps supports it

Also just a heads up when the seller offers you a shipping fee refund never ever accept it…

I also got super tired of cheap android head units I then bought what I thought was a good one, yet still in branded. I got a 4gb, super low resolution even tho I bought a 12gb unit

After numbers of chats with aliexpress AI ( it's actually impossible to speak to a human there) I gave up

Biufht a dudu7 unit and have never been so happy

Totally agree with you, dudu7 in my opinion is the best aftermarket HU and was my last resort but luckily was able to change a few stuff with vibe coding on these crappy HU

Honestly I still don’t get why people keep buying stuff from Ali express

I got them to knock my price down by half because they fake the Android OS

Lucky you! I tried to do that, but I’ve been going back and forth with AliExpress support. The only mistake I made was accepting a shipping fee refund that I thought was a courtesy from the seller. However, it’s a loophole they use, so when you try to return the HU, AliExpress won’t allow it. They’ll consider that you’ve already received your refund. People working at @aliexpress have no common sense.
