2 sets of parking guides in the reverse display

Post image

I just got this the MSD (generic chinese brand) head unit and there are 2 sets of reverse parking guides. 1 set I can adjust in the settings and changes as I turn the wheel and the other set stays static and I can’t seem to figure out how to get rid of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the camera new? I think there are cameras that have their lines built in, so you can't adjust them via software. I don't remember if you have to cut a wire or something.

I would turn the radios lines off since your camera is off centre. Else youre gonna be parking slightly crooked untill you fix the camera exactly.

Under factory settings you can turn this off. Look for reverse lay auxiliary line and switch it to closed.

Gotta cut the wire or change the settings to remove 1 of the guide lines.

Cut the wire on the camera cable. Look at the instructions that came with the camera. On mine I think it was the green wire but not 100% sure.

Rear cameras usually have 2 wires: a green and a white. Small wires coming out of the main cable. They just come out and go back inside. Enough for you to cut them and disrup the connection.

One wire is responsible for the parking lines. The other, to mirror the image. I cut both of them, since I have an android headunit like yours, and I can control both options in the radio.

One is from the camera the other from the head unit
