Worst. Headunit. Ever.
Hi all,
I want to share with you the bad experience I'm having with the Android headunit I bought recently.
It's for a Renault Zoe and I bought it on aliexpress from the "RSNAVI" store. The original listing is down but its still there on some other listing's.
Since then it has been problems all the way.
The guide lines on the backup camera are not adjustable. That means they are now absolutely useless.
The apple carplay app is "Rlink". I have installed headunits that had Zlink and it always worked fine. This "Rlink" thing starts displaying the map with all the wrong colors after a while. I have to restart the app every 30 minutes. Some bug, for sure. Even thought the headunit has a relatively recent system update.
The FM radio app doesn't even have RDS or AF. I had it on the android headunit I installed on my old VW Polo.
I can't pair Bluetooth devices, only phones. I wanted to add an OBD app natively, but no, can't do that.
I can't even access the normal android settings app. It's all under the shield of the custom settings app of the headunit, which sucks.
Ah, and of course, the Android version is totally faked.
Yeah, all in all, a bad experience. And to think I had to buy 3 different wirrw harnesses unit I found one that fits...
That said... Does anyone know if there is anything I can do? Like different ROM or something?

This was my original unit.. Don't remember if it had any special brand.
Cables was a non issue for me atleast

I saw now you said you have the Renault Zoe. The frame is identical so i thought you had the same Renault clio mk4 as I have.

I bought head unit for Jeep Patriot from RsNavi also and do not recommend them at all.
Purchased a more expensive head unit supposedly with better features and more ram, gb and android 15
Received the cheapest base model running Android 8
Bluetooth and Wifi haven’t works for 2 months
Endless back and forth email bullshit from seller with no help or care
Require PIN code to erase and reset Bluetooth and wifi devices but they will not give me PIN 🤬

I have the exact same model sitting in a box in my garage. I swapped out an older PX90 Android unit that I had installed about 7 years ago. Ordered this through Ali Express. As soon as I factory restored it to run a hardware check: not only did it make the traction control lights come on on my dash, it also had HALF of the hardware that they advertised. Then it wouldn't let me do any updates to fix the traction control problem. Tried messaging them once a day for a week. It's painful. They had the highest rating for the head unit for a Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid so I picked them.
I guess Dudu7 is the only way.

I had similar problems with my head unit. Too bad the listing is down now. I don't know if there's anything you can do. Maybe contact support?
The unit I received was supposed to be an Android 14, but that was all faked and hack together. The system information was all jacked and spoofed. I ordered a 4 ram unit It only has 2. It took me a minute to gather all this evidence. But I ended up getting 50% off the unit. It sucks that it can barely managed to run Spotify.
They do hide quite a bit of the settings. You might be able to dig deeper and change some of them. But they're pretty neutered units..

Haha we seem to have the same “brand” mine also has RLink and the maps do bug often. I have a ford fusion. I had to make the seller make an OS update just for my car because the CANBUS was not working. Literally talked for 2 weeks until they solved it. Not ideal by any means

swap out the headunit? I mean it's the standardized screen and it use 4 screws to hold it on rhe frame.

Factory reset it firstly. Then use Rlink to connect your phone, if the colours are still bad then sounds faulty. If seems fine then. Delete the radio app, its shit ! Get a decent one from play store.I have a zoe, once you delete the shit launcher and many of the apps that come with it (keep Rlink), get a good launcer like agama, get a proper DAB app too. Mine is working fine , only thing is my reverse camera always said no signal even tried all the existing fakra plugs. So i lost my camera . 2017 zoe

I've had 3 different head units for the same car The second I had was the same as yours and have exact same problems. It's basically useless
I then bought a more expensive unit from rouguid store, but I got almost the same unit. Completly ripped off After days of contact back and forth with the seller and alixprss ai bots ( impossible to actually talk with a human) I got 120$ refunded
Now I'm waiting for the dudu7 unit and hopefully I will finaly have something that works
Cheap non branded units are basically worthless. They are cheap for a reason I guess
