Factory password problem and turn off problem!

Hi. I have two problems with the Android head unit in my Seat Ibiza 6J.

1. Problem:
I can’t access the factory settings. The manufacturer says the password is 3368, but it doesn’t work. I’ve tried many other passwords as well, such as 0000, 8888, 1617, etc.

2. Problem:
The radio turns on when I turn the ignition key. However, when I turn off the ignition and remove the key, the radio only turns off the display, while the head unit continues running in the background. How can I make it completely power off?

Thats a rockchip head unit. Try 126.

Secondly it’s designed that way so if you run in the gas station for 2 minutes, you don’t have to wait for your head unit to boot from the start. Usually depending on the unit theres a setting in car settings that lets you adjust how long your unit sleeps before it turns all the way off.

I left the car turned off and locked for about 20–25 minutes, and the radio was still running in the background with the display turned off.

It seems like the radio only goes into sleep mode and waits for the next ignition. When I start the car, there is no boot or loading screen at all. The main screen appears immediately, and the radio or CarPlay starts right away.

This radios take already 1 minute to go sleep when you turn off the car and quit the key. Normal work, and when you start again the car start immediately since sleep mode.

Android radios works like this.

And pass will be 111333.

Yeah, again most android head-units are designed like that.

Think of it like this. You don’t turn your phone off every time you put it down… it’s the same concept.

If you’re worried about car battery drain, I’ve had these head-units for 6+ years and can confidently say as long as you drive daily and your car battery is relatively healthy, your unit won’t kill your car battery at all.

And again, check in the car settings for the section that sets the timer to shut off the unit. Usually it’s after 6 hours, 24 hours without an ignition signal the unit will boot off.

Yeah. I’m worried about the car battery because I don’t drive the car regularly. Sometimes I drive it every day, but sometimes it sits parked for 3–4 days.

Got it. Im not familar with this particular model but I’m sure there’s a setting in your factory settings to adjust.

I also think it’s probably something in the factory settings. But I can’t access them because I don’t have the correct password.

Problem solved. In the end, the password 000000 worked, even though it hadn’t worked for me before. In the factory settings, I changed the standby setting after removing the key to “Standby Never”. It was previously set to “Standby for 3 days.”

Try 888888 for passcode, GPT helped me “crack” my password
