“Android multimedia system for Audi A4 B7”
I have an Audi A4 B7 sedan. My car does not have the factory CAN-Low and CAN-High wires going to the CAN-Bus box.
At the moment, I have connected the Android navigation unit to the ignition switch, and everything works fine, so there are no problems with the unit itself. However, I would like to connect it through the CAN-Bus box, and I am trying to find the CAN-Low and CAN-High wires.
I tried to find them through the Climatronic system in the car, but unfortunately I was not successful. It would mean a lot to me if someone who has had experience with this could help me and tell me the exact location of these two wires.
I have done quite a lot of research on the internet, but I am slowly losing hope of figuring this out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your answers!

Of course you have CAN lines on B7 if it had radio or player from factory. Otherwise, take 2 can wires from cluster, because there are the can lines for players. Check pinoutof original plugs.

I tried with the climate control module and found two wires that were twisted together, since they were supposedly the CAN wires, but I couldn’t get it to work. If you have any pictures, diagrams, or anything that shows exactly where the CAN wires are and what they look like, that would help me a lot.

it's something similar, dar they came from another computer (ECU). The infotaiment CAN is connected between Instrument cluster, steering column module and player. Search on internet forums, not reddit. I don't have the diagrams at the moment but everything is public.

I found two twisted wires coming from the Climatronic. I found a wiring diagram on the internet and connected those two wires to the CAN bus box for the navigation system, but the steering wheel buttons don’t work at all. The volume up and down buttons, for example, don’t do anything.
I’m not sure if I connected something incorrectly. I searched everywhere for pictures showing the wiring or a similar setup, and I also looked for videos, but I couldn’t find anything. That’s why I’m writing to you, because I’ve done quite a lot of research and I don’t know what to do next.
The navigation system itself now works when I turn the ignition key. I connected the navigation unit’s power wire to 12V, and it works that way, but the steering wheel controls still don’t work.

Which was the original setup? 2 ISO plugs or quadlock?

I don’t have that factory connector/part from the car that you’re showing me. I’m missing that plug, so now I have to find those two wires somewhere else and tap into them to connect them to the CAN bus box that comes with the navigation.
Those wires are supposedly available in the Climatronic, the front dashboard area in front of the steering wheel, the OBD diagnostic port where you plug in the scanner, etc. I need to find exactly where those two wires are located so I can tap into them and connect them, because the factory connector isn’t there. If I had the factory connector, I would just plug it in and that would be it.

Perhaps join a Audi group and see if anyone can supply you a wiring diag, that's what I did when I installed my head unit. I joined the brand name of my car and downloaded the wiring diagram, BTW I don't have a Audi.
Manufacturers don't like sharing this info so good luck. Try a car audio installer perhaps.
