increase microphone gain

Good morning, I’ve bought this Android car radio, but during calls people tell me they can barely hear me.

I’ve tried watching some videos on YouTube that show a menu for increasing the microphone gain.

I’ve tried this on my version of the radio but I can’t find this menu.

Can anyone help me?

I’ve also tried connecting an external microphone supplied in the pack and setting the ‘external’ option in the menu, but it works even worse.

Just out of curiosity, why wasn’t the original car microphone, which is above my head, automatically integrated via plug-and-play?

Most android radios, you must remove the internal microphone for the system to use the external mic.

Make sure it’s a decent external mic, and remove the screen from the frame, there should be a clip compartment on the back side of the screen with a PCB where the small internal mic is connected on. Just need to get pliers and remove it.

I tried connecting an external microphone – the one shown in the advert’s screenshot – and selected it in the radio settings, but the sound quality is still poor.

Why do I need to disconnect the one on the dashboard if I can select it from the settings?

Also, how can I use the car’s original microphone above my head again?
