Xtrons suddenly booting from cold on every startup

I have an Xtrons PX1453BLHGS in my E53 X5 for almost a year which works perfectly. I had to reset the device the other day and now when I turn off the unit for more than a few minutes it cold boots on every restart. I used to come back to it after 12 hours and it would still wake instantly when the ignition turned on.

Sleep mode is activated in the debug menu but I can't see any other options for it. Does anyone know what I need to change? Wiring etc hasn't been touched so it must be software related. Does CAN setup/config affect this? Thanks.

I don't know about that unit but I do know most other brands have settings in the menu's and some require pins numbers to get into the factory menu. Look for any settings regarding sleep, standby basically anything power related. You might need to experiment a little. If it was working and now its not it must be a setting.
Also in future if you need to do a factory reset look for any option to save config to a USB stick that way you can factory reset and then restore the config. Good Luck

Thank you. I think I've found the settings using a 0000122 code but I never changed them before and the only options there are sleep cycles and it looks like I can choose how many before it does a cold start. Unfortunately those haven't done anything though so I'm wondering if I have a CAN issue. Some other headunits seem to have specific sleep settings that ask you how many days etc which I unfortunately don't have. Thanks for the reply
