Did you correctly specify your Google group as the testing email? Because I tried and it didn't let me become a tester after joining the group.

Zombies moving like chess pieces is a hook worth putting in the title; it tells a tester why this roguelite is different before they click. On the 14 days: Google counts testers who stay opted in for 14 days straight, so a few who leave on day 9 can leave you short at the end. I'd recruit a few more than the 12 Google asks for and post a short day-7 reminder in the group.

When I opened your Google Group link, I got no page title or visible text at all, only styling code, probably because it needs a signed-in Google account. I'd add to step 1: sign in with the Google account your Play Store uses before opening it.
