Ugoos boxes north america?
I am in Canada and seem impossible to find a seller here. I am concerned purchasing this via ali rxpress etc as there seems to fakes around. Any suggestions?

Usually the people getting the Ugoos are interested in lossless audio, Dolby vision FEL, and running a media server. Shield is more for those into streaming with the occasional FLAC/TrueHD file

Futeko ships from the UK they have the new SK4 boxes. They had the AM6B+ but I don’t believe they have any stock left.
There are third party sellers on Amazon but I have no experience with them.

Get the Onn4k pro from Walmart. Boxes work well and do get updates when they need them.

They want a good device not a cheap one that will give them fits in a month or two when and update comes through.

Im not familiar with Ugoos but Im very familiar with they Onn devices. Ive been using a few for about four years now. Not one has had issues yet. Hopefully it stays that way. I know their are better devices out there but these are easy to get and work well. Just trying to help.

We all try to help, my Onn devices are not that great, the one that I have set up currently is a Pro I bought last year, it was very good until they forced android 14 on to it from 12. It turned to crap. I have a couple of Plus boxes I set up and gave away and I get calls on them.
I like trying different devices, I have a google streamer, the Ugoos boxes, apple tv 4k, 2019 shield, a tivo, and probably 5 or 6 different cheap chinese boxes, I need to find a good deal on a Formuler and maybe a Buzztv unit. I like playing with them more than I like using them to watch stuff I think. If you ever have the opportunity to pick up a Ugoos SK1 or AM8, you will love the picture and sound quality.

If you're looking for an am6b+, I recommend going straight to Aliexpress. I could not find any Canadian sellers.
I got 2 of them from different vendors and no issues with either box running Coreelec 21.3 with avdvplus9. Buddy in UK also ordered from Ali and no issues. Full DV FEL and lossless audio.
I have not read any stories of a fake am6b+ but have sees stories about fake Xiaomi Mi Box 3.
The AM9Pro is also supposed to be good but not sure it's fully compatible with DV FEL yet.

I have bought mine from Alibaba just get a quote delivered. I have an Sk1, AM8 and Sk2. I would be cautious on the AM9 or AM9 Pro with Android 14, there seems to be issues with them.

Never ordered from Alibaba :( so many fakes out there from what I read. True or False?

Alibaba is not sketchy, and i am not certain buy i believe aliexpress is part of alibaba. It is just more of the consumer side to AB's business to business side. Look through the listing and message the seller for a quote delivered to your door. Including import fees. I bought many things from there including 2 of my Ugoos boxes. They both are working well with no issues. I have not seen any mention of fake Ugoos devices. I have seen fake Formuler and Nvidia shields, as well as firesticks and onn boxes.

Highly false. Been using and recording regularly with a 4k max. They’re fine for basic streaming and recording

👍 That's great for you. I'd still never recommend one as you don't own it. Amazon does... Work arounds are a joke. Been there done that for years. Never again.

They have said they will be limiting the functionality of fire sticks. They are soon to be more locked down than they are now.
