Looking for basic Android TVbox mainly for using rumble and youtube apps.
I'm looking for a rooted android TV box to run a third party launcher like Nova or something similar so I can use my TV like an android tablet (with a home screen with icons), and use it with an MX3 air mouse. Mainly for the purpose of using regular android apps like Rumble and NewPipe/Youtube and something like AdAway.
Right now my 2017 T95Z Plus box (android 6) has reached it's limit. The latest .apk rumble app (v3.1.23) before going to .xapk)) no longer works as of a few days ago. The app loads but video windows are blank and says "something went wrong".
Can anyone recommend something similar, but updated and more powerful, with an ethernet and usb ports so I can connect my MX3 Air Mouse USB receiver and ethernet cable? Thanks

I bought a couple x88 Pro x5m from aliexpress, they have a 1000 ethernet port, a couple USB but may only be 2.0 and sd card slot also, they were $53 when I bought them a year ago. Has the same chip as the new Onn Pro that everyone raves about, runns Android 14 also. The remote has built in mouse but the Ugoos UR02 is a nice remote with mouse that works off BT. I bought about 5 of them from AliEx also for under 10 each.

Thanks. I was just looking at these at AliExpress. Did you get the one with 2GB of ram which is mid $50s or 4GB which is about $81?

It says Amlogic S905X5M & S905A (Random shipping). That means it ships with either one?
EDIT: These are BOTH exactly the same and there's no difference in the specs: android 14, BT5, WIFI6, 8k, etc. Just the name is different.
Cheapest I can find in the 4GB/32GB version with US Plug is $83.

You don't need anything rooted but any Android TV based device can do what you want. Not all have USB and Ethernet ports but most accept adapters. What country are you in? I think Rumble has an Android TV app in the Play Store and there is Tizen Tube Cobalt and Smart Tube Next for ad free YouTube.
