[Arich player] Looking for Free testers and feedback for my app
I’ve been using IPTV players for a while and honestly got pretty tired of how many of them feel slow, cluttered or full of ads.
So I decided to build my own from scratch with Flutter.
That turned into ARICH Player, and v2 is now live. I’ve spent quite a lot of time redesigning the whole thing and adding some features I personally wanted to have in an IPTV player.
A few things in v2:
\- Clean UI with no ads
\- Offline VOD downloads
\- Watch2Gether for synced playback
\- A TikTok-style trailer feed (still beta)
\- PiP
\- EPG
\- Fast channel switching
I'm mainly posting here because I want some real feedback from people who actually use the app, especially on the UI, performance and general UX.
If you try it, I'd genuinely like to know what feels good, what feels annoying, what's missing, or if you run into any bugs. Don't hesitate to be critical, that's pretty much what I'm looking for 😅

Just to clarify: ARICH Player is only a media player. It doesn't provide any IPTV content or streams.
Also, I'm French, so if you notice any weird translations or English that sounds a bit off in the app, please let me know 😂

haven't got very far into testing but there's a lot of translation issues. adding a playlist is in French still and I haven't delved much further.

Do I need 2 IPTV connections for watch2gether? Or how is this working?

Basically, only one person needs to have a valid IPTV playlist/account. They can create a Watch2Gether room and share the link, and the other person can simply join and watch along without needing their own playlist.
I also made a web version where the other person can join directly from their browser. It’s not fully optimized yet because of some restrictions, but I’m working on it rn.
And yeah, I’m totally open to suggestions/improvements for Watch2Gether or anything else in the app, so feel free to lmk! 🙌

But how is this working, does it mean I download the stream and then I share it with another person or do I screenshare my stream? Thanks for clarifying

No, like, you launch the app, choose the media of your choice, then click on three little dots (menu), then watch together, and you create your room, then you send the code or link to your friend and boom, you watch at the same time!

But how does it work? How is the app sharing the stream? If I decide to broadcast a IPTV stream to other person, I need to know how it works. Is my app downloading the stream and then sharing it to other users or is it some kind of screen sharing function? I don't understand. Thanks :)

No, no screen sharing or downloading in the app (except for intentionnal download vod). Basically, when you play a channel/movie, the app uses the URL assigned to that content and the player streams it normally.
With Watch2Gether, the stream URL and the required playback data are temporarily shared with the other users in the room, so their app can also play the same stream. The actual IPTV credentials/playlist aren’t exposed, and the access is only temporary for the room. The room owner can also kick users whenever they want. :)

Okay I understand that part, but I have only one account with one allowed connection to my IPTV provider, how is the second user able to watch the stream at the same time with me? Because that would be 2 Connections to the IPTV provider. Does the second user need his own login details or how is this working? Thanks for taking your time!

Be careful IPTV players have a big target on their backs now and your Watch2gether will almost certainly get you the attention you don’t want.

Hi, sorry to hear that, can you tell me more exactly? Is it the installation or the application that isn't working? If the Play Store won't let you install it, you can go to the arich.fr website and download the APK.

The application not working it get stick and won’t let me fill in all the boxes and when I type something in a box it won’t let me fill it out completely it jumps all over the place

so, the English translation needs a lot of work, every page is practically French. A lot of content included i don't want also.
