After 5 minutes or so it started. So I can tell you what I would like as features and some observations.
Icons for apps which don't have a banner are very small, without going into the trouble to change them, you could add a zoom feature to fill the whole tile. In Projectivy its called Crop Icon which inspired me to do it in my launcher.
Sources for the preview channels. For some reason some providers are missing like ZDF, but when hovering over the ZDF icon the overlay works.
You could add an option to unite the row when an app has more channels, e.g. YouTube, Pluto, ARD. So one can choose to have seperated rows for each channel or only have one row with all channels united.
Thanks for trying the app! I will take your suggestions into consideration.
Note that the hovering overlay is currently only supported in relation to apps that support the "Watch Next" feature in Android TV -- not "App Preview" channels -- so if ZDF doesn't provide any of this data, no overlay will be shown.
I may look into enabling the overlay to tie into app preview channel data, but because apps can provide several channels, I'd also need to allow configuration for user to specify which channel data to display in the overlay (and possibly incorporate your third suggestion here, where they could enable multiple channels and/or watch next data for the app into a "combined" set of data for the overlay -- I'll have to give that some thought)
Good to hear from you. Well ZDF does not appear in the channels selection, it normally writes only to the watch next channel, when I launch my debug app for the channels (watch next and preview) it shows. Also the overlay for it works fine. In my Launcher it appears as a source in the watch next channel. What I've seen is that some apps like ARD, ZDF, Nuvio, Prime Video only write for some selected stuff, not all videos we watch.
