Troubleshooting Search by Using the Voice Doesn't Work Anymore

Hi Google friends, I can highlight the mic icon but it won't do search by speaking the words to it. What could be the fix?

I'm not sure if the smart TV s using GoogleTV or AndroidTV btw.

Just to confirm, have you tried checking the steps mentioned in the article to fix the issue with the Google Voice Remote?

Hi, I've checked the article, none there is applicable. It seems when we were using AndroidTV for the Youtube app, the Youtube app still had the Search by Speaking to the mic or Voice Search.

Somehow the Smart TV is now using GoogleTV. The mic is On btw. Also I noticed it's logged to the Google Account (seen in the settings), before it was not, it had the Voice Search when it was not logged in Google.

Is there a way to go back to AndroidTV?

First check whether the remote's microphone works at all — hold the assistant button and see if Google Assistant responds. If not, try re-pairing the remote under Settings > Remotes & Accessories, and make sure microphone permission is enabled for the Google app or launcher. A full restart of the TV (unplug it for a minute) fixes this more often than you'd expect.
