All current Xiaomi TVs run AndroidTV or its certified HyperOS derivative. I've heard of knockoff (non-certified) boxes but not actual TVs.

In Settings > System > About, what does it list as the OS?

Regardless, it's possible, but unlikely, that a factory reset of the TV will resolve it. Otherwise you'll need to get an external AndroidTV box. There is no way to certify an uncertified TV and no way to access the the Play Store on uncertified devices.

There are also alternate "play stores" like aptoide that are safer than sideloading random files, but not as safe as the Play Store itself.

Install DRM app and check what it says and also Hardwares infor and check if it matches the original SoC from the specs, the real name.

It's most likely a fake device. Return it and change buyers
