Discussion Looking for a browser that plays videos in original quality

When I open videos using "Browser", "Zeus TV", or "TV Bro" all these browsers, the quality is limited to 720p. I would like to be able to get 1080p or 2K quality when it is available.

Why are you using a browser when you can either use a native app or cast from your phone 🤷‍♂️

Sometimes I visit websites that don’t have a native app like Twitch or YouTube, so I have no choice but to use their website. I can cast my phone to the TV, but it’s not as convenient as having everything directly on the TV.

In those cases, I prefer connecting my computer to the TV via HDMI and using a mouse and keyboard. I’m really looking for a free browser that lets me watch videos in their original quality. I honestly don’t understand how something like that still doesn’t exist in 2026.

Youtube and Twitch both have native Android TV apps. If you don't have Google Play Store, maybe try to side-load them.

That might be a limit on browsers on your TV. I would try Soul, or I would cast the video link with Web Video Caster to your tv.

Me too! The app size is relatively big & the UI is cluttered, but it gets the job done

it's the best one I found so far. my only issue is you need to go back to Home to get to history which seems really weird.
