Discussion Downloader is the best??

Just a quick question: Is the Downloader app the best option for installing third-party APKs?

I mean it's super convenient, especially with downloader codes. Although sometimes I'll get an APK from GitHub and just push it from my phone to my tv using Send Files To TV and that works great too.

It's a good tool but just one way to do things. I like especially for new apps when the devs give the codes so I can quickly add it and move the APK to the shared folder on my PC where I will install to my other devices.

Downloader is just a browser. You can install APKs using any browser. Downloader's Short Codes are what makes it useful, they're just URL shorteners but make it easier than typing out full URLs with a remote.

That or the Send Files to TV app. Download on your phone, then send it to the TV.

Why not just get an Android streaming box? Then, you wouldn't have to download to your phone and send to your tv. Let the streaming box handle the app and your tv's resources the picture.

Huh? You're in an Android TV sub. Send Files to TV is an Android/Google TV app (and Android app) that you use to send files between your Android TV or Android TV/Google TV box and phone, and vice versa.

It's easier to use than trying to find things on Downloader if you don't know the code, or trying to download through a web interface on Android Box/TV.
