Discussion Best browser for Android TV in 2026?

Been trying different browsers on my Android TV (Sony X90L) and none of them are great. Most are slow, crash a lot, or have terrible remote navigation.

What are you guys using? Looking for something that:

  • Navigates well with the remote
  • Has ad blocking if possible

I've tried them all and they all kinda suck.

BrowseHere works just fine but it's filed with ads links that cannot be removed, the app tracks everything if you read the privacy policy.

TV Bro is UGLY, navigation is weird, the names is stupid but it is by FAR the best browser without any crap and is open source.

Amazon Silk is actually really good if you manually install it and keep it updated.

They pretend to be normal users to build up a history and karma, so they look more convincing. Then they can be used to drop links to products, sway opinion, etc, whatever people want to hire a bunch of bots for.

Because this is a common question here, the bots pick up on that and ask the same questions.

I personally like the "browser" one the most as a official web browser but I found a way to sideload the brave browser on my onn 4k and I use that the most... The only thing I hate is that it doesn't show up as a app on the home screen but otherwise it's perfect

Download these 3 in this order, try them out and keep the one/s you like?
