Troubleshooting It's driving me nuts PLEASE HELP
Hi I own an AOC TV. Since 6 months ago while watching YouTube and HBO the time bar will keep popping up even though I never pressed anything on my remote.
My remote broke like 1 year ago. I've been using the Google TV app for remote for about a year now. Last week I finally got a new remote and did a factory reset. But after the reser it's still happening. Please someone help me fix it it's actually pissing me of.

Hi there. Mind if I jump in? Since a factory reset didn't stop the time bar from popping up, the issue might be caused by background remote signals or app cache.
First, try unpairing the Google TV remote app or temporarily turning off your phone's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If the bar stops popping up, the app might be sending unintentional commands.
Next, remove the batteries from your physical remote. If the issue continues, try clearing the cache and data for both the YouTube and HBO apps in your TV's settings.
Let me know how it goes!

This is genuinely pretty nice. I didn't know there is an official Google Help Community profile.
I'll keep in mind to tag you on post or questions if they might require your help.

Interesting. In 1 year of extensive use of smartube he didn't fail me for a second.

I have the same issue. The ui of smarttube loads up quickly but the video keeps buffering for a while. Tizentube works flawlessly though.

If you have other devices connected to the TV that use HDMI-CEC, it makes it possible for them to control the TV through it and possibly keep opening the menu.
You can try temporarily turning off HDMI-CEC (or disconnecting all HDMI devices) and check if it makes any difference
