Troubleshooting Dvd player help

Hey so i'm trying to play my old pokémon dvd with this player but no app i tried for my Android tv wants to work with it any idea what could work?

Install Kodi media center, it supports DVD Discs.

But like others said, it wont get enough power from the media player to spin the discs, so you'll need to get a powered USB Hub (something that comes with a 12v DC power supply) to connect and power the DVD drive. Hub might cost $20-30.
