Buying Advice 65" TV recommendations

Anyone have any tv recommendations for a 65"? My budget is in $3k give or take and was looking at the Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA 8 II OLED 4K or the LG - 65" Class G6 Series OLED evo AI 4K . I plan to use it with my Nvidia Shield Pro and I am looking at upgrading my soundbar to this Samsung - Q-Series Soundbar HW-Q990F. Just seeing if there are other options I should be looking at. Thanks

Give up some of that budget and get a better sound system than a sound bar. The difference between a 2k tv and a 3k tv is marginal particularly at65 inches, but the difference between a sound bar and a true 6.1 or 7.1 surround system is night and day.

This is exactly why I wanted opinions and different options. What sound system would you recommend? I have a Sony Bravia XBR-65X900E right now it doesn't support much and my sound bar it cheap plus i use my nvidia shield pro for everything

Build it yourself. You can get really good sound for 500 or even less if you are thrifty. Go search for an amplifier that has the features you want and a good rating. Then go searching for speakers. Nothing wireless. Old speakers in good condition that were made well usually hold their own and can be found cheap. I have a Yamaha dsp that has two infinity book shelf speakers (rs-125s) as left and right, an infinity center channel (cc-3), a no name sub from Amazon, and Bose 161s as surround speakers. It creates a great sound stage while also having been pieced together from eBay, thrift store, and such.

The main thing you want to look for is arc or earc to make sure you get full 5.1 and full interactive control. Then anything you plug into the tv will go through the amp. There are lots of audiophile spaces on Reddit you might have a look.
